Yes, ME first. WE, second, including you. I'm just as guilty as anyone else. Does Satan have us just where he wants us? Shake your head yes. This is where our concern should be...

http://abcnews.go.com/US/story?id=7041036&page=1
"According to the poll, which came out today, the percentage of Americans who define themselves as Christian has dropped from 86 percent in 1990 to 76 percent in 2008."

American Religious Identification Survey 2008
http://www.americanreligionsurvey-aris.org
"The percentage of Americans claiming no religion, which jumped from 8.2 in 1990 to 14.2 in 2001, has now increased to 15 percent."

The "church" of the lost in the United States, those without Jesus Christ, in Satan's clutches, and doomed to hell is GROWING. ME and YOU who hold a fundamental view of our Lord and Savior's imminent return better get off our backsides.

John 21:17 "...lovest thou me? ...Feed my sheep."

At 10% every 18 years how long will it be before our LORD appears looking for ten righteous.

Genesis 18:32 And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake.

Most polls show that 80% or so Americans claim to be Christians. But if you will check out what many of this 80% believe you will find a very small majority that actually believe there is one true path to the Father. That being:

6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 14:6 (KJV)

Plus, many of them are talking about a different god than God the Father of Jesus Christ born of a virgin. Plus many of them are talking about a different Jesus and not the Jesus who was born of a virgin.

The number who are Christians at anyone one time has always been few, just as the Bible tells us many enter into the wide gate that leads to destruction and fe there be enter into the strait narrow gate that leads to life.

13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Matt 7:13-14 (KJV)

Sad to say most have a false hope, and will hear these words.

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Matt 7:21-23 (KJV)

How will they ever hear the truth?

John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Romans 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Matthew 18:14 Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.

Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Isaiah 6:8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

There is a simple answer to your question.

18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Matt 28:18-20 (KJV)

But we can't force them, to accept or listen to the truth, they have every right to reject or not listen to the message.

Jerry, there is a simple answer and it isn't those who need to hear at this juncture. It is those who need to go tell; regardless of the rejection. We aren't giving the plan of salvation, that is, the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are remiss, having the truth, if indeed we have the truth (rhetorical) then; why aren't we getting it out to these people?

Matthew 5:15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

Our house is this United States. What has happened to those of us with the truth?

Matthew 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

The command is to go.

Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

If any feel a finger pointed at them, it is good; by pointing a finger, I have THREE pointed back at me. That hand needs to be fully extended to those who are without; and should never have need to form an accusation.

We need action. I had a small community, on a corner, where I witnessed and gave tracts. I have not been over there for 3 weeks now and need to get back. It is so easy to become distracted and become complacent. We need to just go and expect God to give the increase.

Don't be ashamed to tell others what you are doing to get the Gospel to the lost (don't brag of course). It will encourage others to go and knock on doors or stand on a corner for our Lord and Savior. We spend too much time chatting nonsensically and not enough time posting our activities for Christ.

Look at our posts and you will know our joy. Yes, I'm guilty and without excuse.

Our church has made a plan for becoming more vocal in the next year. I was pleasantly surprised by which church member suggested this move. He sometimes surprises me because most of the time he seems complacent. But anyway, our church has opted to do more things in the community in the next year. We are going to take out a column in the newspaper once a month and my pastor is going to write an article about something. Then I believe we are going to have a few HUGE outreach activities.

Our church does a lot of community outreach. They did Operation Christmas Child a few weeks ago. One of our church members actually turns his factory into a place to prepare hundreds of boxes for it. They have also taken Sundays and done a community service project. We are having a live nativity next week, too. Should be fun. :)

Folks, thanks for the information on your church. It is good to hear the church functions collectively. We need to be there leading the charge.

However, this was not a post to encourage folks to write about the local church activities. This is about what we do as a member of the body of Christ with the Word of Truth without the collective.

What activity do you personally have spreading the gospel and witnessing for our Savior? Make a plan and do it. Then come back here and tell us what YOU are doing at the one on one level. I need encouragement and some rebuke for missing my little community for 3 weeks! Everyone here needs to get out there because we sure don't post about it. It would be great to come back on here the next Monday and say I went back to my corner and passed out tracts, preached, witnessed, and Sunday evening x-number came to service. If we sew in the Spirit and in truth for God's glory, He will provide the increase.

Preachers-teachers-evangelists-etc. please don't take offense. Full time ministry folks don't take offense. With this exception...how can we have so much time to post here when there is a lost world who needs our Savior.

Matt/Mods those fingers are pointing right back at myself.

I don't think it's as much that you have to be out witnessing or passing out tracts(the disciples never passed out literature) as much as it is being a witness in our daily actions and getting involved in people's lives and showing them the love of Christ through us and reaching out to them.

I completely agree Dave, I have a tract I am going to post once I get clearance from the tract company. I love it, it encourages me as a Christian to be more fervent to give out the gospel. I am writing two tracts right now to be able to pass those out.

I put tract's in magazine's and book's at a medical center I recieve treatment and in the library. I talk to people when they allow me to when waiting for an appointment. People are much more open waiting to see a physician and afraid. Leave tract's in bathroom's and when my husband take's me out for dinner I slip one behind the tip. I love being in the hospital because I am able to tell the Gospel and they ask question's sometimes out of curiosity and sometines in angry BUT they can't walk away if they are assigned to watch me for along term period!! I love it!! They really open up and I feel so blessed!!

This is an awesome attitude. Are you terminally ill, or suffering from a debilitating disease, if you don't mind me asking?
