My wife has probably heard this a million times over the years:

Rule #1: Never trust a woman.

At first, this annoyed her some, but over the years she has come to believe that's an important rule to remember.

Women can be so cruel, spiteful and hateful; and most often towards one another, that I really don't know how you good Christian women manage to deal with them.

When you tell your wife not to trust "a" woman, does that mean "any" woman (including herself),

"that" particular woman

or women in general with a few exceptions?

I know many women I do not trust. I also know just as many men that I do not trust. :Bleh

Its funny, because on my dh's side of the family, it is the men (except for dh) who quarrel, fight, bicker and argue. All the women get along great. :thumb

That's the great thing about being in Christ! A Christian woman isn't the same as most worldy women.

I've worked in factories, offices, universities, etc., and whereever there were several women around (these were unsaved women) it was like being around 7th or 8th grade girls again! They would gossip non-stop, talk behind one anothers backs, get jealous and petty over nothing, be friends one minute and hate one another the next, etc.

No, of course the "Never trust a woman" rule isn't a blanket, more of a general precept. Many women can be trusted in some areas but not in others. And yes, the same could be said of many men too.

The "trick" is to figure out which areas are which and adjust your relationship accordingly.

Like my wife, I still can't trust her not to peek into something if I were to leave it where she can get to it. Knowing this, I make sure anything she shouldn't see yet (like presents!) is put away so she isn't even tempted.

Do I trust her in other areas, absolutely!

Err... John' date=' wouldn't it be good to apply this to most people in general rather than just women???[/quote']

John is trying to get on the good side, I mean bad side of all of you Christian women!

I think there are many people who can't stand the temptation of a present setting there and no one around to see them sneak a look! :tum

I'll never tell!

But John needs to try and humor these women before they beat knots on top of his head. :annoyed:
