I brought this up in the simple or complex thread, but I would like to find out peoples answers to this question.

Did God preserve His word in the form/words He wanted us to have it?
If He did not, why not?

Yes, God promised to preserve His Word for all Generations. In English he has preserved it through the KJV. In other languages he has preserved it in other translations.

Think this over a little bit. Then tell me what you think about this concept.

If we are going to be judged by the word shouldn't God give us the word that we are going to be judged by? If he is a fair and honest God and he is he would be obligated to keep his word and make it available to us.

God loves us and wants us to have his word. Therefore he has preserved his word for all of us to read and live by.

With all due respect my friend I fully disagree with your statement. I also think he has preserved his word in the 1611 KJV. I myself can not read Greek or Hebrew, therefore they are of little use to me as a man that can only read English.

I also think he preserved his word in German for an example. What good would the KJV, Greek and Hebrew do for the common German man? It would be of very little value to him.

Yes I know that about the 1611 KJV.

I thought you meant ONLY The Received Greek Text and The Masoretic Hebrew Text are what He preserved. That is what you meant to say right?

The KJV was not re-inspired, it is preserved by God for English speaking people.

I've read the forum rules. The rules also state that one does not have to hold to the beliefs in order to fellowship here. I am only asking because I honestly would like to know what different people believe and why, whether they agree or not. I apologize if I came across otherwise. In fact, I edited the original post. I hope this clears up any misunderstandings.

You keep bringing up the KJV 1611, but the vast majority do not use the translation from 1611 which includes the apocrypha. I am drawing a blank, but 1789 or something like that is the translation we are currently using, unless you are using schofield, which is just another version of the KJV.

No if it is the right Spanish translation. I have no idea what that Spanish translation is. I do however believe God has kept a Spanish translation preserved as well as an English translation for example. I think God has kept his word in tack in all languages, not just the Greek or English for example.

If God did not keep a German translation preserved for example. What could the common man in Germany do? As a common man I doubt he could read Greek. It is God's responsibility to give us his word in a language we can understand no matter where we live how what we speak. Our job is to read and live the word of God the best we can. It is his job to make sure we have access to the word of God. God will always do his job.
