Profiles on Left or Right

Since you all will be using the new theme in the future, I want to see what you think about the profiles on the right.

If you do not know what I am talking about, you are blind!!! Just Kidding, you probably are using the Subsilver2 theme. Themes can be changed in your UCP. When reading a topic the profiles are on the right side.

I'm on another forum that has it on the right like it does here. However, it's easier to see who's writing the post when it's on the left and it's the first thing you see. I could get used to it on the right, but it seems like it would be easier if it was back on the left.

It really is not much work to move the profiles over to the right, I'll see how this poll goes before I decide what to do. :face:

I agree with what Suzy said elsewhere. Since we read from left to right, it seems more natural and helpful for it to be at the left where we begin.

Since we read left t o right, it actually makes more sense being on the right. The profile content is not the reason you clicked the thread.

Since we read left to right, you start out with the thread you clicked. The first thing you see is the thread. That way reading from left to right, you get the content of the post rather than the profile information. So with the theory we read right to left actually works against those of you that want it on the left. :lol Having profiles on the right puts the main focus on the thread to be read.

It more is a matter of what we are used to, and I am not against moving it back to the left. Do you actually read all the profile information before you read the thread.

haha, Kevin... you can still see who's posting it before you read it if you want. :smile You know where the profile info is, you can just look to your right first if you feel the need to. Honestly, I thought I wouldn't like it this way, but I'm getting used to it. (I tend to identify people by their profile pictures and I can still easily see the profile pics on the right)
