Certainly there are times in our Christian walk where we take areas of our lives back and need to surrender them once again back to the Lord - or some may not have ever given themselves to the Lord' date=' and learn what it means to do so later in their walks. There are various passages in the NT that talk about this - Romans 12:1 being the most well known one.[/quote']

Thank you for clarifying that.

I much prefer the term "repentance

Amen. The Beleivers in Romania are often called Repenters. They are called this because their life is characterized by the fact that they turned in humble repentance when they trusted Christ, and they continue to repent when the Lord brings something to their attention that is not pleasing to Him.

Most professing Christians in America are far too worldly minded to seriously consider giving up their own self-will and allowing Christ to truly be the Lord of their lives.

It's very telling how many stories one can read of those who come to Christ from Third World and other similar nations when they visit America how shocked and disappointed they are to see how worldy American Christians are.

I recenty heard a message from a Baptist evangelist that does alot of work in Romania. He said a Baptist College singing group went over there to perform. When they began their program, the old ladies through their hands up in the air and shouted, "They devil has come!" and ran out of the church house.

There are so many stories like that out there!

America is perceived as a "Christian" nation and so many who come to Christ in other lands are expecting to see American Christians being biblical Christians like they strive to be and when they come into contact with American Christians they are so often shocked that they see the world rather than the light of Christ.

When I was a new Christian a univeristy was the location of a gathering of Christian youth from around the world. I went there on the final night and at the end of the event they played some CCM, what would probably be considered light rock or pop in music style, and told the youth they could fellowship and dance until a certain time after midnight.

While talking with many of the foreign youth I noticed many had an odd expression of their face and several of them made mention that in their country Christians didn't listen to that kind of music and such dancing wasn't acceptable. Many also commented that such events wouldn't be held that late at night where they came from and the youth wouldn't be so unchaperoned. They were shocked at the way American Christians talked and acted and what they considered Christian entertainment.

Gi'day I was just thinking that instead of wondering about Lordship Salvation maybe it would be good to make sure you have salvation. You can try to find the answers to all the discussions on the market and get caught up in trival things. The thing most needed to know is that if you died right now do you have the salvation Jesus gives? This is not to make the discussion trival but to focus on the beginning of ones need.
