I am a conspiracy theorist, but I do believe planes took down the WTC. Now that being said, I don't think a plane took out the pentagon. And I believe we shot down the plane in PA. I think we had to shoot it down, though. See I am a conspiracy theorist.

That being said and by that definition I AM NOT conspiracy theorist.

A true and genuine scientist doesn't take the word or hearsay from just one person or agency to formulate his opinions and data. He knows how to sift and sort.

Here we have a thread wherein we can discuss the WTC Towers bombing.

Please tell us what you think. Then we'll sift through all the info and sort out the facts and what is genuinely logical, possible, impossible, unlikely, etc.

Simple answer: Gravity.


More complex: With structural damage due to a big air plane smashing into it, the building was already weakened. With the high temp of aviation fuel burning in a closed environment (think woodstove) The main supports for the building buckled. (this might not have happened if they where protected, but at the time of construction asbestos was just made illegal, and no sub was created yet)

When the supports buckled, the building above that point started coming downward. The rest of the building was built to support the top part, not "top part + kinetic energy" and down down down it went.

I voted "yes" because I design structural steel buildings for a living and have viewed most of the 9-11 "truth" videos and found them full of conjecture and outright lies about steel and very little facts to back up what they assert. For the most part the videos produced by the so-called truth movement, in general, and Alex Jones, in particular, do not give concrete evidences of conspiracy. Why is this? They say it is because a good conspiracy theory is unproveable-- talk about a cop out.

Steel is like every other metal: it has a melting point. Back in the seveties when the WTC was completed, proper fireproofing for steel was deemed environmentally hazardous. Due to this, the structural steel was not properly insulated from the intense heat of burning jet fuel. :ideas:
