We've got 2 in our back yard, one is doing great, the other one had to be cut back. I've got 2 more planted, for one of the its on its 2nd year of blooming, the other one I just planted last fall. I think Gardenia's smell heavenly and are so pretty.

We don't have any in our yard but there are several around. There are some between here and my dads and I love when they are in bloom as when I walk to my dads I get to enjoy their scent.

I know its not a very girly thing to say but I'd have to agree with the grill scent before the flower scent. haha. Nothing says "summer" like the smell of a charcoal grill!!!

2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Rev 22:2 (KJV)

I somehow expect these trees baring 12 manner of fruit, yielding her fruit every month, not to have the smell of cooking meat. No cooking meat is not what I think of as a heavenly smell, but the Gardenia bush that is in full bloom must be close to a heavenly smell.

Yeah, but we were talking about this side of heaven.

A Mimosa tree in its peak of full bloom.

Where I work there is one blooming right now beside our outside picnic table. Not only are the blooms incredibly and delectably fragrant but the flowers themselves are light, fluffy, showy and colorful. They are a joy to behold.
