Church fellowship or church groups

Churches should have fellowship with its members. With all members, the faithful members, and with those that are not so faithful. My experience through the years, I notice as members and groups in our local churches, these groups seem to stay closer together, in the church and out of  church. They are friendly to new members, but seems to keep a distance. I’m not saying this is evil. It just seems that it happens everywhere I go In the English or Spanish churches. It’s a type of favoritism like what happens at the workplace. The pastor cannot really do anything about this. Take Care

In many of the churches we have visited or been members of both IFB or SBC that have had small groups, many of them, not all, have had problems with cliques, division, and eventual splits. In other situations where the pastor visits each of these groups on a regular basis in rotation, they have done very well. I'm not against small groups or Bible studies at home with church members.

We strive to be equally friendly to all. And we do fellowship as much as we can. Just today, we celebrated the return of our Sunday School kids. For reasons that are their own, they moved and we couldn't find them. They have been gone since May. God moved and brought them back to us today! So I thought a little celebration was in order. We were just going to do it in Sunday School, but their mom came with them today, so I asked my hubs if we could just share the cake with everyone.  So after church, we had chocolate cake and strawberry cake (the favorites of the kids). And we chatted and just had a good time.
