Members TheGloryLand
If somebody was to say to you, the better, you preach the more you earn. How would you answer this to a person?

How would you answer this to a person? No...I wouldn't be interested. Those kinds of statements show the beliefs of that church and who/what their god is. Members Solution Joe Chandler Posted June 20, 2023 Members Solution Share Posted June 20, 2023 I would answer them by saying that they are covetous Pharisees. Luke 16:13-14 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. 14 And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him. Then I would tell them that they cause division and serve their own belly. Romans 16:17-18 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. 18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. The main motivation in preaching should be to 1) lead others to Christ and 2) to point them to a fuller, Christ-Filled way of living. Amen Sureword. Paul made his own way by making tents. 1 Thessalonians 2:9 For ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail: for labouring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God.
