We've been watching this women's testimony. In my estimation, she's a modern-day Junia. May it inspire all who listen, regardless of your view of gender and the role of pastor.

Btw, brother Rick posted this last night:

Still trying to push your ideology? Really? Nobody here is against missionaries. Hope you realize that this is far different from being a pastor. You're not gaining any points ❌ here.

Please just watch the story, Tony. I have been in missions for many years and have seen women like this lead men, as Deborah did Barak. The way God uses them dismantles the restrictive views some have of 1 Timothy 2:11-12.

I disagree heartily. I have watched the story and still disagree with your exegesis and ideology.

Your Rick Waren Certified ? as I mentioned before. This post is sounding like round 2

There should be no "round two." Pushing an incorrect exegesis should be stopped. The "Doc" wasn't confident enough to leave his thread open, so he closed it only to start pushing the same narrative here on this thread. Desperate move if you ask me.

As for Rick Warren, he's not making any friends in the churches that fellowship in the SBC. He's pushing a false interpretation of the Word of God, instead trying to please man instead of God, just as he did with his books on the church building...The Purpose Driven Life. I saw more churches destroyed because of the ideology he pushed in those books, than I saw helped. Shameful. Yet, he has no shame, and he' proven that by trying to fight the decision by the SBC to disfellowship the church he used to pastor. They truly shouldn't even allow him a platform at the convention...yet, they are. Shameful of them to do so.

God distinctly made males and females different, both physically and mentally. God chose pastors to be men, and I can't give birth because that's not how God made me. There are some ministries that God called people in our church to do that I probably can do better, but God did not call me for that ministry like He did them, and I'm okay with following God.

The women in our church play a role just as important as mine in our church. I will not sit back and let people disrespect women and the roles that God has given them in our New Testament church.

Ten Reasons Why Men Should Not Be Pastors

This list has been doing the rounds on the internet at least since 2005. But in case you’ve missed it, here are the top ten reasons why men should not be ordained as ministers. This insightful, and satirical, list was compiled by the late Dr David M. Scholer, a former New Testament professor at Fuller Theological Seminary. Enjoy!

10. A man’s place is in the army.

9. For men who have children, their duties might distract them from the responsibilities of being a parent.

8. Their physical build indicates that men are more suited to tasks such as chopping down trees and wrestling mountain lions. It would be “unnatural” for them to do other forms of work.

7. Man was created before woman. It is therefore obvious that man was a prototype. Thus, they represent an experiment, rather than the crowning achievement of creation.

6. Men are too emotional to be priests or pastors. This is easily demonstrated by their conduct at football games and watching basketball tournaments.

5. Some men are handsome; they will distract women worshippers.

4. An ordained pastor is to nurture the congregation. But this is not a traditional male role. Rather, throughout history, women have been considered to be not only more skilled than men at nurturing, but also more frequently attracted to it. This makes them the obvious choice for ordination.

3. Men are overly prone to violence. No really manly man wants to settle disputes by any means other than by fighting about it. Thus, they would be poor role models, as well as being dangerously unstable in positions of leadership.

2. Men can still be involved in church activities, even without being ordained. They can sweep paths, repair the church roof, and maybe even lead the singing on Father’s Day. By confining themselves to such traditional male roles, they can still be vitally important in the life of the Church.

1. In the New Testament account, the person who betrayed Jesus was a man. Thus, his lack of faith and ensuing punishment stands as a symbol of the subordinated position that all men should take.

Even with the use of satire you are trying to push your "egalitarian" views. You really take the cake ?, "Doc." Really? I mean, REALLY? ???

That list has zero Biblical qualifications for a pastor of either a female or a male. That's a post that needs it's own thread as it has nothing to do with "Biblical" qualification.

How much longer do we have to contend with this disruptive behavior? Doc's proven time and again he's only here to promote his unbiblical stances. We had far less tolerance of an outspoken Calvinist a while back.

The professor used this humor to criticize what he saw as the fallacy of gender-specific Church roles in Christ. He seemed to think it was on topic. I thought it was hilarious.

While I understand it's unbiblical, when folks don't use the Bible as a source of Biblical standards and authority it's hard to show from the Bible when the rebuttal is man quotes and not God. Because of that, I believe the readers of these forums can decide between what man has to say or what God has.

TBH, due to the lack of Scripture, it really reaffirms to me what the Bible says and people can see that. It really helps people to see that woman pastors are unbiblical according to the Bible, but no less important in the church.

I'll close this as it's heading in the direction of other threads. Reading can now decide between man or God.

Dr, it is a humorous list, but not relevant to Biblical qualifications for man or woman
