Everyone should visit a charismatic church at least once

Hate to say it, but I totally disagree with you. There's no reason to visit a charismatic church. Why would you even post something like this?

While I do appreciate their zeal and passion, the unbiblical doctrine and teaching is enough for me not to visit.

I can verify this as I have been to many of their services when I was growing up. I had many uncles who were charismatic preachers and evangelists. I still have cousins who are in the charismatic movement.

I went to a Charismatic Baptist church once. The "pastors" (husband and wife) both preached at the same time, tongues (gibberish) was spoken, dancing in the aisles, the rock band was rocking and the teens were making out in the back pews.

Yep this is what happened to me as a charismatic in my youth. And I saw it continue in the adults after I left.

I never heard of a Baptist Charismatic Church combined. Husband and wife preaching together, then fighting after church. Who’s gonna do the dishes? Are you aware of any recent Baptist Church opening up to dancing during service.

There are several Baptist churches that have gone charismatic. Some in West Virginia, some in Arkansas, some in N & S Carolina and elsewhere. I don't know of any who started dancing, but it wouldn't necessarily be unscriptural. The Bible says to praise God in the dance.

Do they remove the Baptist name from the church later? How to dance correctly in church is very hard to do in my opinion. The people that are doing this are mostly good people, looking for and to do more in the church. One of the biggest problems in the church today is much entertainment. This seems to be bringing in more lost sheep. They seem to like the loose gypsy-style clothing. I personally don't support dancing in church. Talking in tongue, I think the laughing churches are no longer around, but not sure. Too much confusion going on.

And people worrying about what other churches are doing is a confusion that we need to get rid of. It is only right to be aware of what is going on in ones own church and to always compare that to what the Bible says. Opinions are just that, opinions...and like belly buttons everybody has one.

I don’t worry about what is going on in the churches, but I do worry about the loss souls that attend them, aren’t they looking for truth.  The truth is out there, but it’s getting harder and harder for people to find. I do believe that there are those who are not Baptists, that are saved. Example and the protestant and the charismatic movement. I believe a person will not lose their salvation because they spoke in tongues or danced in church. I see these as works, but not for salvation. So you may ask, what’s the problem then? I go back to the entertainment part that I mentioned.

Most aren't doing it for entertainment. And to be honest TGL, you spend more time worrying about and questioning what others are doing in their own churches. I've seen SOME mention, at times, about the lost, but these have been few and far between. Nobody is questioning whether you believe people who aren't Baptist can be or are saved. I don't know where you got the impression they were.

Just doing my job BT, not being quiet, like many of the faith are doing. You see, I can speak freely where others can not. They might lose their position in the church. I noticed you watch me very carefully, every post you have to say something about me. Which make me wonder what is your roll. You, not being a leader and moving from church to church. You see, stop judging me and I will not judge you. Just reply without judging me, like I dont agree with you. This is a fare and normal reply. Have a great service today
