Bill, Joe and Tom were hiking when they came to a raging white water river. Bill prayed, God, give me the strength to get across this river. Immediatly he could swim across, although it took him several hours. Joe saw this and prayed, God, give me the strength and tools to get across. Immediatly he found an canoe and rowed over, although it took two hours. Tom saw this and prayed, God, give me the strength, tools, and intelligence to get across this river. Immediatly he turned into a woman, read the map, walked upriver ten minutes, and crossed the bridge.

The only problem I see with that joke is that most women I know can't read maps! :cool

Hey - I'll have you know that when we go on trips, I read the map very well!! Almost never get lost. :Green But if I do, at least I ask for directions. :Bleh

Hmmm.... Very flawed joke. Tom should have stayed a man' date=' recieved a map, and walked up river. We all know women can't read maps. I mean, c'mon. :roll  :Bleh[/quote']

Speak for the women you know, Marcus...I can read a map quite well, thank you. And I can ask for directions, unlike men..... :Bleh :Bleh :Bleh :Green

I don't get lost outside of cities. If I'm not sure about something in a city I'll stop and ask someone. Of course, I avoid cities so that's rarely an issue.

I have a question:

If a man speaks in the forest, and no woman is there to hear him, is he still wrong? :cool

:pray Dear Lord, I pray for: Wisdom to understand a man, Love to forgive him, and for patience for his moods. Because Lord, if I pray for strength I'll just beat him to death. :Bleh

I've always done quite a good job of reading maps when we go on trips even when we've decided to set our own course. :-) If I do say so myself.

But alas, I've been replaced by the GPS. :sad But really, have you ever wondered why they have a WOMAN's voice giving the directions on the GPS?? :-) :-) LOL

The only map that I can read is "Map Quest" off of the computer. :-S :-S It is difficult enough!! I will stop for directions, though, considering hubby would rather drive around complaining about the lunatics on the road. :eek When I found out in the IFB that praying for patience brought tribulation...I asked how to pray, then? :pray Thank you Jesus!
