This has been something I've wrestled with. I'm very tall for a woman (6'3"). I am disabled as well, so it's very very hard for me to wear a dress that fits correctly. Most all dresses are too short for me and I can't afford to have alterations done. I do wear slacks to church. I dress conservatively and appropriate for a woman. I do feel guilty at times about not wearing a dress but, I think this is due to the stigma in the church.

If your dress is modest, slacks should not be a problem. My wife cannot wear dresses after having been in a near fatal auto accident in December of 2015. When visiting some IFB churches we've experienced some flack, but we don't let it worry us as these people have no solid scriptural backing for their opinion based belief. Go because you want to serve the Lord. Don't let others opinions stop you from participating in worship services.
