You know, the older I get the more I appreciate, learn from and love the Old Time preachers of God.

Apostle Paul
Stephen
Peter
Oliver B. Greene
Lester Roloff
J. Hudson Taylor
D.L. Moody
Jonathan Edwards
Lee Roberson
Jack Hyles
.........many many others......

None were perfect, nor put forth an aura of "better than though"; but the Holy Spirit of God used them to preach the Word of God hard. The Holy Spirit would convict of sin, souls were saved and believers strengthened. They had such humility and (seemingly) hearts for God. While God used them, they didn't abuse or bully the lost or the brethren. They just had a way about them that has been hard to find these days.

Very cool, thank you.

Do you listen to any of the old time preachers on Internet radio?

I have an Internet radio software program that I use and have found some pretty good Fundamental stations. One that I really like is:
Fundamental Broadcast Network (Website URL: http://www.fbnradio.com/) (Copy and Paste URL into Windows Media Player: http://streamstart.x9tech.com/fbn.asx)

The radio software I use is: Raima Radio (www. raimasoftware.com) It lets you even schedule the recording of different radio shows and saves them to your PC to listen later.

I make cd's of the old timers, and have quite a few that I enjoy. Also like books (biographies) about the old time preachers-missionaries--evangelists, and books that they themselves have written. I have one by G. Campbell Morgan (a Presbyterian) on the book of Hosea. It cost me 25 cents at a book sale (No one wanted the "religious" books!)

Love the old time preachers. One of them used to teach "if you want to be great (in the sight of God) you need to run with great men" and that is the only way we can know them now--by books. Unfortunately, not many Baptists were writing books until a few years ago, except for the beloved Spurgeon.
