Meditating where one clears their mind and does as the woman on the cover of the tract does is of the devil and therefore wrong and foolish.  We are however to meditate on God's Word, fill our mind with the Word of God.

It's so strange, sometimes even creepy these days as to just how many Christians have picked up on false religionist, humanist and occultic things without even realizing it. Some even have the idea what they are involved in is actually Christian or at least it's somehow Christian when or how a Christian does it.

A lady I know recently won some money from some kind of scratch off and right in the midst of saying how she thanked God and knew Jesus was looking out for her she started talking about she knew it was the right time to play the scratch off because of her horoscope!

One of the churches in town has "Christian yoga" classes. Some "Christian" counselors and shrinks use meditation for some of their patients.

I'm constantly amazed at all the mysticism, oriental religious practices, and strange things Christians actually believe and do.

If Christians would spend that time in the Word, read, study and meditate upon the Word, perhaps they would know better. Unfortunately most Christians rarely or never read from a Bible. Many Christians also have pastors who either don't bother to lead them rightly, they fail to warn them of dangers, or even practice or accept some of these things themselves.

God's Word is all we need to live by. We don't need oriental meditation, palm reading, messages from the stars and planets, or any other things that open us up to allow the devil a foothold.
