Members Covenanter Posted June 25, 2015 Members Posted June 25, 2015 (edited) Magda came to us about 25 years ago as a refugee from Sudan - a true Christian, not an "ethnic" Christian like her relatives who came at the same time. She has fluent Arabic & English. We have supported her, as she trained for missionary service. Her first service was with Arabic radio. Currently she is based in London, at a centre that reaches Muslim families, particularly women seeking to learn English, & children, and handles Internet enquiries from Arab countries. She is also working with a church in their outreach. She was suddenly taken ill about 2 weeks ago, straight into hosptial & has surgery of bowel & ovaries. Please pray for her full recovery. She is in her 50s, & very faithful in her service. Edited August 10, 2015 by Covenanter Quote

Members Covenanter Posted July 2, 2015 Author Members Posted July 2, 2015 (edited) Thanks for your prayers. Magda has had serious operation and is recovering at her sister's home. We don't know about further treatment, chemotherapy or the prognosis. Please continue to pray. Edited July 2, 2015 by Covenanter Quote
Members Covenanter Posted August 10, 2015 Author Members Posted August 10, 2015 Magda has had two chemo sessions and she is due 4 more which she has every 3 weeks. As a result of chemo one hand and leg are numb, so she hopes they will reduce the strength of the chemo as they said they would if this happens. The nerve pain in her right leg remains painful which is probably as a result of the op, for which she is having sessions of massage, but it will take time for things to improve.Church people, her sister-in law and other friends are helping her with cooking and shopping & her Muslim friends are also visiting her.She has communication by phone with AWM folk . She quite obviously appreciates our prayer and is still in much need of it. Please continue to pray. John81 1 Quote
