What I"m saying is, that its dangerous to think that the more you read your Bible, the more NEW (meaning it has not been found out before) revelation you will be given by the Spirit. Ruckman is claiming things about aliens and etc that has not been preached before. This is DANGEROUS. Its not in the Bible. Its applying things out of context and not correctly...was he tired of reading in context and decided to read out of context? I dunno how preachers suddenly get new revelations from the Bible, but when it happens, its generally dangerous.

My old preacher from out west "found out" that the Bible teaches that the Tabernacle was made after the form of a woman's body. You don't want me to explain. Trust me. He read his Bible through many times per year too. I personally think when you have to announce how many times you read the Bible through every year, and how well you know it, so well that God gives you extra revelations, that its a sign you are proud and want recognition for your "new teachings" rather than really truly getting something out of God's Word that is APPLICABLE TO YOUR OWN LIFE.

Yes...I read it, MrsW. That sounds very logical to me. My assistant pastor gave a sermon a long time ago that stated that God reveals 365 times in His Word the same thing repeated (Gentiles) to us...b/c we are "dumb sheep." LOL.

And...NO...OB...skeptics (some of you) I don't have "proof"...however it is archived someone in my church's website. I will say, again, like it has been stated that I don't go to "secular" sites for the Word of God...b/c I don't trust them. Thanks to ALL who say...Rachel, for one...that the Word of God comes first...Not the websites when it comes to God's Word...unless it is VERY reliable. The KJV 1611 AV.

From Wikipedia:

Ruckman's unusual ideas extend beyond the Bible. For instance, he believes in UFOs and blue aliens with blue blood, black aliens with green blood, and gray aliens with clear blood.[13] Further, he believes that the CIA has implanted brain transmitters in children, old people, and African-Americans and that the agency operates underground alien breeding facilities.[14] In 1997, Ruckman claimed that Attorney General Janet Reno had drawn up a list with his name on it and prophesied that the "Government Mafia" would make a hit on him during "the next two or three years."[15]

Tell me this is from the Bible.
Anyway. He's not qualified to preach. He's been married three times. Did he miss that part of his KJV Bible?

Yes, it would be stupid. But the way Katie-Anne worded it made it sound like that was what she was saying - he's read it so many times he's seen things others haven't...sounds kinda spooky and like it's the reason we should believe everything he says! She probably didn't mean it that way, maybe. But with my experiences with his students, that's the way it came across to me!

I had a preacher once who claimed what he was going to preach was something we'd never heard before...that God had revealed it to him. And what he preached was heresy. And he pretty much read the Bible all day long. In fact, that's the only book he would read.

Sorry, but "between the lines" is the term that some of R's students and followers have used with me...(FTR - I went to college not too far from PBI. I know a little bit about what comes out of there)

Gotta say, though - my hubby says he's a great chalk artist. Never saw his work myself, but I guess it's fascinating to watch him.

From Wikipedia:

If this is true, the man is demon possessed, not godly. Not only that, he is disqualified from ministry.

Since when is Wikipedia a reliable source?

It looks like someone chopped up pieces from his autobiography and only posted the stuff that makes him look bad. Yes, he met with a jesuit priest about demonic stuff BEFORE HE WAS SAVED. That article says nothing about when he got saved, because whoever wrote it doesn't want you to know about that. Wow...

If you want to believe that Wikipedia article, go ahead. Ignorance is bliss.

I cut out the part of the demonic voices and revised my post before you posted this.

I left the part about the aliens.

When one reads the Bible, the Holy Spirit reveals applications to help you grow. He does not give you stories about aliens and nationalities and the CIA.

From DAVID CLOUD (yes I'm quoting David Cloud.)

PETER RUCKMAN, UFOS, AND DAFFY DUCK. Friday Church News Notes, August 19, 2005 (Fundamental Baptist Information Service, www.wayoflife.org fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) - Peter Ruckman of Pensacola, Florida, has done more harm to the cause of the King James Bible than some of its enemies. That is due to his cultic beliefs and his strange, ungodly spirit. According to one of his books, ?Black Is Beautiful? (1996), UFOs are real, and if you doubt it you are an unbeliever. If Ruckman says two plus two equals five, and if you don?t agree, you are an unbelieving ?jack leg? and a ?bloated egotist.? He believes the CIA has implanted brain transmitters in children, old people, blacks, and prisoners (p. 243) and operates underground alien breeding facilities (p. 256). He believes in blue aliens with blue blood (pp. 85, 86), black aliens with green blood (p. 244), and grey aliens with clear blood (pp. 310-11). He believes that Adam originally had water in his veins instead of blood (p. 185). He believes that the CIA flies around in space ships developed from technology gained when the government made a deal with aliens to allow them to kidnap children and use their organs as food and to experiment on U.S. citizens (pp. 291, 295-297). Ruckman does not use facts he abuses them, and he often builds his case upon thin air, fables, and half-truths. Consider one example of his reasoning. An old Bolivian legend tells of a non-human race that had webbed feet. Old comic books about Daffy Duck and Donald Duck depict creatures with webbed feet (p. 85). Voila! The legend must be true and Donald Duck must be a secret depiction of aliens!!!! For 32 years, since I was converted, my sole authority has been the King James Bible, and the bottom line here is that the Bible says nothing about UFOs and therefore it is not something I need to concern myself with (2 Tim. 3:16-17). The verses that Ruckman cites in support of UFOS are taken out of context and grossly misused, not remotely supporting such nonsense (e.g., Gen. 6:1-5; 2 Sam. 5:24; 2 Ki. 2:11; Isa. 14:29; Ezek. 1:4; Zech. 5:1-3). Ruckman believes that the aliens are demons who are preparing to take control during the Tribulation and he cites Revelation 9:2-3, but this does not describe UFOs and it has nothing to do with events in our day. Revelation 9 describes demons who are currently imprisoned rather than appearing on earth. The Lord Jesus Christ and the apostles did not teach God?s people to worry about UFOs or to rage against the government. They taught us to honor those in authority and submit to them (Rom. 13:1-7; 1 Pet. 2:13-25), to live obedient and holy lives and to dedicate our lives to preaching the gospel to the ends of the earth until Christ returns (Matt. 28:18-20; Acts 1:8). You don?t see Paul ranting against the Roman Empire and mocking its emperor. Dear friends in Christ, beware of the cultic element in the independent Baptist movement.

I only post this because you guys are recommending poisonous books by this man and he needs to be exposed for who he is.

Ruckman claims to be authoritative because he tells you he's read the Bible that many times. I heard the same stuff from Jack Hyles - "You have to listen to me because I'm the greatest preacher in America and I've led more people to the Lord than anyone else in America; I'm doing more for America than any other preacher!" yada, yada, yada...

Yes, he actually said stuff like that. It is egotistical, man-centered and man-focused. The only reason anyone "knows" how many times Peter Ruckman has read the Bible is because he has told them so. Humble men don't go around bragging on themselves...

My FIL goes after stuff that's never been revealed before. He believes that some of the presidents are really clones and all kinds of stuff. Apparently the regular Bible is too boring and we have to go for new "revelation". :roll

Did you go to PCC? the school that makes you sign an agreement not to talk about Ruckman while you attend the college?

Btw, I have a close friend whose dad was attending PCC and then heard about PBI, and would sneak off to hear Dr. Ruckman preach once in a while. He loved the preaching so much he left PCC and enrolled at PBI. :lol

I was at Bible Baptist Church in Pensacola all weekend. I spoke with Dr Ruckman. I saw Mrs Ruckman. He only has one wife. Therefore he can be a pastor as it says he is to be the husband of ONE wife and he only has ONE.

I know a lot of IFB pastors who don't have their house in order, have rebellious wives, are too interested in money...all those are on the qualifications list too.

Suzy, if you read the book mentioned, you'd see where he presented Scripture to back up his beliefs. It's in the Scripture, it's just that some people don't want to know.

And for the record, I believe the King James Bible is inspired, right down to chapter, verse and paragraph markings.

*Sigh* I haven't read "Black is Beautiful" and I have stated that I am NOT a science person. Does it say in that book that the UFO's (Demons) could be the souls in Hell...NOT the demons, but lost souls?

David Cloud shows how (using Scripture) that aliens with colored blood and all that stuff is NOT in the Bible.

And the Bible does not say "one wife at a time." Its a very convenient interpretation though, I'll give him that.

So just because other pastors aren't qualified, it means Ruckman can go ahead and be an unqualified pastor "because everyone else is doing it?" I see.
