Where has common sense gone, why are so many people lacking the ability to know right from wrong? Is common sense something that is gone for good and are we gonna have to continually go behind the people who lack it and clean up their mess? Just some questions that aggravate me to no end.

Thats ok bro Ray, I have found bad spellers and C students to be the ones with most comon sense. Worked with some cops over the years that were some of the most intelegent people when it came to book work, school, etc. but not have a lick of comon sense. This ofcourse is a general rule as I have worked with those that had both smarts and comon sense.

Reminds me of the time I arrested a guy who stole a motorcycle. He said he had bought it. We asked him for a bill of sale which he promptly produced. The funny part is, he wrote it himself and it said... "TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN. THIS MOTORCYCLE IS NOT STOLEN! He got mad and could not figure out why we were laughing as we arrested him. It got even better. At the jail he asked if there were any support groups for theives such as thieves anonymous. :bonk: :ideas:

By the way, im a terrible speller :Bleh

:goodpost:  I have posted this before, but..."The "3 C's" of Bible Study".

The first thing we must do is establish good PRINCIPLES OF BIBLE STUDY.

1) When plain sense makes common sense seek no other sense. If you do NOT follow this principle and are always seeking deeper meanings or hidden messages in verses you will miss the obvious lesson that is taught. Matthew 25: 1-13 (be VERY careful with this parable). Matthew 25:13...Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. KJV 1611 AV. This is just an example. Jesus' own words, of course. :smile

2) Context, Context, Context. 2 Peter 1:20...Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. KJV 1611 AV.

3) Compare spiritual truths. - I Corinthians 2:13...Which things also we speak , not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. KJV 1611 AV. This deals with "The Truth in Tension Principle" (Chuck Swidoll).

I just thought that I would throw this in here. Also, please read Bible Prophecy - Rapture thread...as it explains each of these "principles" in detail.

Yes...Good ole' "common sense" is hard to find these days. :uuhm:

It sounds like a few of the Cleveland School teachers that I used to work with. :frog All brain...and, NO "common sense".

There are few "judgemental people" on this board, I find that the most judgemental people of all, are the ones who complain about others judging.

Tank...it is VERY important that everyone put their faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, alone. Man is sinful. All of us. :thumb This is election time, and you know that it is stressful enough. The complaining gets out of control. It really gets very old, fast. Pray, pray, pray. :pray That is what holds me together. :smile Be :cool

I John I: 7-9... 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. KJV 1611 AV.
