I'm New Here

Hello everyone!  I found this group while looking for resources for KJV Bibles   Actually, while researching a new Bible I found a Christian forum group but they were not KJV so I did a search for an Independent Baptist forum and here I am!  Just looking for likeminded brethren to fellowship with.  I am a lady, but have never really fit in with ladies groups because I was always more interested in discussing Theology and doctrine rather than recipes and parties.  Just means I was a good fit for my Marine hubby who has the same interests (that and my Dad had already trained me in 24 hour time).  Our perfect date is an evening at home studying the Bible together   So I look forward to finding where I fit in here and making myself at home.  It is our dream to someday start and Independent Fundamental Baptist Bible Institute.  Sadly, the college we met and studied at is straying from the founder's vision and we can no longer support it.  There is a real need for a true Bible teaching institution and hubby and I have that burden.  In God's timing!

My dad was from WV - the Clarksburg area.  In your profile, you said you went to ABC - did you by chance know Cathy Canary?

Well, the ladies forum here isn't exactly hopping with recipes and parties...  I occasionally post some photos that are kinda 'girly-ish' (flowers/scenery with Bible verses added) over there, but I really enjoy taking photos of insects that most ladies find....unpleasant, so I posted one of my spider photos in the "Why Only Ladies" thread, which got that thread hopping with a few ladies trying to avoid my spider invasion.

To HappyChristian, yes I knew Cathie.  She was working Admissions when I went there.  She is a neat lady and still active on Facebook with the ABC Alumni.  I live in Charleston.  When I was in Child Evangelism Fellowship our summer camp was near Clarksburg.  We go through that area every month because hubby drills in Kingwood at Camp Dawson.

 

I would like to join the ladies forum, I guess I need to contact you about that

 

To Li Bai Jia, I did see that spider on the other thread and it was quite disturbing.  Don't care too much for creepy crawlies.

Too neat!  She was the ladies' dorm super when I went to Marietta Bible College. We became good friends, but lost contact (as people do so often).
