well they are, because they don't usually use condom when they take a risk.

Straight men usually do, because they do NOT want to pay child support. Good thing that child support is there because it is the one way to keep them from spreading diseases from one woman to another.

I don't think Jesus would say something like that if he were alive todayl. That only alienates people and makes them feel as though Christians hate them.

Would Jesus alienate gay people? No. He would find where they hurt, heal them, say go and sin no more. He would say, "He who is without sin, cast the first stone," reach out with loving arms, and heal the person where they have emotional or physical needs.

This kind of hate speech will only drive gay people further from the Truth. God accepts people where they are at, and then the healing process begins. If a gay person feels the call of God, they can accept that, and then God will begin to heal them and help with their struggle.

This preacher is treating gay people like leapors. Would Jesus really want us to do that?

I dunno. Let's ask God:

Romans 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

What about the story of Jesus with the woman at the well? She had been divorced 5 times and now as living with someone she was not married to. He did not have a tone of hate towards her. He spoke truth to her in a firm, yet gentle way. He understood her pain. He healed her emotional needs, and she accepted Christ and led others to Christ.

How can we expect to lead gay people to Christ when we say that they should be tatooed with a health warning?

Well, I think definitely that churches ought to teach what the Bible says about homosexuality. But I'm not real in favor of the tattoos. Yes, what they do is a health risk, but, really, tattooing won't stop it. Only Christ will.

I know everyone knows that. But I just had to say it. I really don't think the tattoo idea would be a good one.

If this were to be put into effect (I know it won't, just saying...), then we'd have to tattoo people who eat too much, who drink too much caffeine, who are serial adulterers, who...

He was just kidding, I just thought it was funny. He was likening the gay lifestyle to as dangerous as a box of cigarettes, and was joking about the warning label.

All of it true....

I don't disagree with that completely, however, I fear that these types of comments will further alientate the homosexual community from Christ.

What gay people need is Christ, just like everyone else. How to be truthful yet compasionate at the same time, as Jesus was to sinners, is a fine line to walk. But I know these types of comments are not helpful in any way at all.

The reality is, the Bible is what will win a homo to Christ. Many times Christians have become "tolerant" in the name of "compassion" or "love". Compassion is warning the younger generation AWAY from this lifestyle. And quoting the Bible to the ones who are already in it. Gods Word is more powerful than anything we can say.

We have far too much tolerance and love in our society. Its time for some truth. And this goes past just gays....
