I was listening to the Revival Conference down in Atlanta and heard this sermon preached on Wednesday night by Paul Washer.

I was really touched by it and hope that many others will hear this important message. It is about 2 hours long, so be prepared to listen for a while. It is even cut off at the end, but they are working on getting the video together and published to the web.

(I don't totally agree with Paul Washer, but he is right in this sermon. :thumb )

Thank you for this... I will find time to download and listen to this. I've listened also to some of his sermons on www.sermonaudio.com specially on the topic of biblical dating. I find his preaching good and powerful.

God bless,

Jeny

Thanks. My hubby listens to sermons on his drive to and from work every day--he drives over an hour each way--I'll give him the link so he can check it out! :thumb

Anyone else give this sermon a listen to? I'd like to hear what other people on here thought. I've listened to all but the last 20 minutes so far.......it sure gives quite a bit to think about, especially during the last half.

I've listened to it 6 times now. :Green

I've found little on which to disagree with Bro. Washer, especially when it comes to the topics concerning the church.

As you said, bzmomo7, it sure puts a lot on the table as food for thought.

I've listened to a lot of Paul Washer's sermons. I did have this one on at home, but I was busy around the house and my toddler was jabbering at the same time. I did catch some of it, but I'm planning on listening to it again sometime soon when I can put it in my mp3 player and listen without interruption. Paul Washer's series on Faith has been a big blessing to me.

Well, Paul Washer is certainly dead on when he says that the message will anger many people. I personally know quite a few people that would be furious by what he said about the church. I'd like to hear some feedback from some of the preachers on here as to what they thought.

I am a preacher (not a pastor) and my favorite thing that he said was when he talked about the unity of the church. It is one of the most aggravating things to me when I hear well-meaning (I assume and hope) preachers talk about all the wickedness of the church and how the church is hurting people and how the church is so divided. :loco

I know who they are referring to, and it is not the Bride of Christ (the church), but the tares, wolves, and chaff that currently infest the church buildings and congregations due to a forsaking of the Bible and biblical church discipline. I've become quite weary of hearing God's church defamed by her own leaders. Things can change. Things have got to change.

Amen :thumb

Many go for the amens, for the money, preach to the choir, instead of brining a message that will build up a church and its members.

For years, before I surrendered and became a pastor, I listen only to my pastor and those we have had to preach our revival services. They have been bringing messages that we need and that God has designed only for us, that He knows we need to hear, besides that I always know them and what their day to day witness is.

I've found out many years ago that all of my spiritual needs can be fully furnished by my local church and its members, and its a great place to invest what ever money I have to help with the Lords work.
