Yes, I had a Grandma who thought that! She was VERY superstitious. She wasn't quite as bad later in life, but she was still that way some. A black cat crossed our path while I was driving her car and we were going to yard sales. She squirmed because of the black cat but didn't say anything (she would have went crazy years before). When we were leaving the next yard sale the car in front of us backed into us (just barely tapped bumpers, no damage) and my Grandma looked at my then less than a year old daughter in the car seat beside her and said, "It's because of that black cat." :lol:

Another 3 1/2 hours and I would've been with John being born on Friday the 13th.

Beats me! I just posted the old rhyme. I don't think it has any merit although I'm a Wednesday's child (full of woe) and I do tend towards being melancholic.
