Proverbs 30:12, 13

12 There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.
13 There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up.

20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Isaiah 5:20 (KJV)

Seems many know not the difference between good and evil, no really surprising that students would think those who lie, cheat, steal, are good people.

Most of these students don't come from practicing Christian homes and they have been raised in the ungodly public school systems. For them, right and wrong are fluid concepts. "Sometimes" it's wrong to lie, cheat and steal, but sometimes it's wrong. Mostly, in their eyes, it's okay when they want to do it but wrong if someone were to do so in a way that negatively effected them.

Rather than look to the solid standards of Scripture, they judge their "goodness" based upon how they measure up to others around them. Kind of like the girls who think they are "good" because they have only slept with 6 guys so far while those "whorish" girls have slept with 8. As we know, Scripture sets a far higher standard and they either don't know of it or wouldn't even consider that as valid today because of their poor upbringing.

People have always had their own standard what's good is. It started way back in genesis too. Even Cain thought his standard of hard work was consider good.

Right, been around many years, students now day are only following the ways of the world. remember those of the world have a father.

44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

John 8:44 (KJV)

Mankind either had God for their Father or the devil for their father.
