A Question About Movies.

I realize this might be a rather strange question (see poll), but I'm curious as to what my brothers and sisters in Christ think about it. :smile
EDIT: I changed the poll question so it is more clear. If you need to change your vote because of this, please do so.
I would have the topic name the same as the poll question but it is too long to fit in the subject box. I apologize for any incovenience.
God bless,
Crushmaster.

Holly Wierd is only interested in making movies that are going to bring in the Big Bucks - stuff like Brokeback Mountain seems to be what the world craves as "entertainment" these days. Movies with any sort of Christian Moral values are usually regulated to Turner Classic Movies channel.

Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of truly Christian movies around. Even a great deal of the ones that are called Christian aren't really. However, we have been able to get a few that are good. Not great, but good.

Christian movies are a rarity. However, we have seen many good ones, too. Thank the Lord!!

Yes, Janet! It is sick what the world craves. I am so very tired (too through) with Holly Wierd! :eek The older the movie...sometimes the better. I don't need to see this junk (nor do I want my family to see it) on "Satan in a Box."

I appreciate everyone's responses, but none of them seem to really answer the question of, "Would You Be Happy To Be Able To Buy Good, Christian Movies?"
Perhaps I should re-phrase it: If a company which produced good, Christian movies formed, would you buy the movies that they created?
God bless,
Crushmaster.

I voted yes. Do you know of such a company?

No, I do not yet, but that may change sometime in the future.

I put "I don't care" only because I find that it seems Christian authored books (and then often the movies they make from them) have lame, childish plots and are not worth reading/watching.

Quality Christian movies MAYBE but I don't see it happening. I would like to see some quality Bible story reproductions (A Nativity Story was decent) or reproductions of Biblical or church history. Fiction, especially by Christians, is usually extremely lame.

:goodpost: I would have to agree with that.

Wow.. How about a multi billion dollar production of the life of David or Jeremiah... That would be so cool! Especially if they stuck to the Bible 100%.

That would be nice, but it isn't going to happen. :wink Especially the sticking to the bible part. Movie makers almost always feel the need to make changes....

Of course when you think about it, sticking to the Bible 100% in many cases would mean a PG-13 or R rating. LOL.

I don't know, I've read some good Christian fiction. :wink I also hope to become a writer myself.
