Members Covenanter Posted May 23, 2011 Members Posted May 23, 2011 Police are trying to trace the owner of a life-sized tiger toy which sparked a major police alert in Hampshire over fears a real animal was on the loose. Officers were deployed and a helicopter was scrambled with specialist thermal imaging cameras over the field, near Hedge End, on Saturday afternoon.Appeal to trace tiger toy owner after police alertRev 6:8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. Is this related to Harold Camping ? Quote

Members Invicta Posted May 28, 2011 Members Posted May 28, 2011 There was a news report today, that an escaped panther or leopard had killed 10 swans on a lake. Big cat experts dismissed the claim and said it was more likely to be dogs. We have regular reports of big cats killing sheep etc, but no visual evidence apart from some very fuzzy photos. When a tiger escaped last year, the police shot it, but we tell India, they have to protect their tigers. Quote

As you all probably know, some of those of the environmentalist persuasion have been working to re-establish wolves to their original ranges and even here, in Florida, they have been working to do the same with panthers. I have seen a panther, myself, here in the next county. There are also many packs of coyotes here and a wolf preserve in this county. There are black bears in the southern tip of this county and in the next county. All of these critters have and will kill people. Dogs will too. Quote

Members JerryNumbers Posted May 30, 2011 Members Posted May 30, 2011 Maybe it was teenagers trying to play a practical joke. When a teenager I did a few thing not quite nice, once on Halloween night some friends and I went and got an 'outhouse,' brought it to town, set it in the center of the big grocery store parking lot, them set it on fire, them ran as fast as our feet would carry us. After a while when several ganged up to watch the fire we joined the crowd asking who in the world would do such a thing? I feel sure none of you would have done anything like that, there's no way you could do such a bad thing. Quote
