High court case today

Urgent Prayer Alert for Eunice and Owen Johns

Please pray as the important case of Eunice and Owen Johns goes before the High Court today. This Christian couple have been trying to foster for three years but the local council has halted their application, as the Johns are Christians who have biblical views on family and sexuality.

This case has huge implications for the freedom of Christians in the UK to foster or adopt children in the future.

You know, during the days Jesus walked on this earth, and His 12 walked on this earth, the Christian was always on the short end of the stick. It seems the America Christian has had it so easy yet now they may get taste of what Jesus and His 12 received from the government they were under..

It may well separate those that profess yet having no faith, from those who profess and have faith.

I couldn't open the link, but I did see it on the news yeasterday.

A sad case but not unique.

We used to foster children and had certain restrictions, for instance, we had 2 brothers JW whose mother was a JW and we were told there was no question of them going to church. However, when the first Sunday came, they said, "Can we come to church with you?" Of course they could and though they were not with us for long, they came each Sunday and went to the mid week club night.

Agreed. When Christians from some foreign countries visit America and they are often amazed at what Christians here complain about and call persecution or their cross to bear.

Sadly, many American Christians feel persecuted and become highly upset and wonder why God isn't doing something when someone they speak with disagrees with their Christian view!

Here in America many professing Christians consider it a great persecution when some don't want the term "Merry Christmas" used.

Meanwhile, around the world Christians are being beaten, raped, losing all they own and even being killed for their faith, for refusing to denounce Christ.

At the same time, many professing Christian Americans are worried about being embarrassed if they mention the name of Jesus in public.
