Is this type of technique helpful or hurtful for Christianity?

I think the one guy in the crown said it best. You are making a mockery of sin. I am sad to say that many Christian are involved in hate speech. I have heard many Pastors and Christians refer to Homosexuals as fagots and queers. I know the Gospel is going to be offensive but if someone is to be offended it should be because of the Bible not the way we speak of the unsaved. If we have offended them before we have even preached to them we have closed the door. I watched a video once where some "Christians" where "preaching to a group of homosexuals. They were so nasty and mean one of the Homosexuals in the crowd said "if there going to be in heaven I want to go to hell" Sadly this man will prOBably never listen to the gospel because of this. Things like this sadden me. Why couldn't he spend the time telling them what the Bible actually says, instead of going for a cutesie (badly sung) rhyme? Pointing out their sin, saying thus saith the Lord, and then pointing out the love of God and their need for repentance would have gone much further.

Instead, all he did was cause merriment in the crowd.

I suppose he thinks he is doing much good, yet the only thing he is doing is harding the hearts of homosexuals.

He really is, that is exactly how I saw it as a Christian, imagine how some of those people saw it as possibly lost. Who would take this guy seriously? Sure, I agree that it's not ok to be gay but he's just trying to get on those people's level by singing a little rhyme and all he is getting are laughs.
