Our oldest son Timmy has run away from the Christian boarding school along with three other boys.

Please pray for their safety and that they will be found swiftly before they do anything more stupid.

Please also pray for my family and I that we will have the strength, wisdom and a measure of comfort as we go through this.

In just 5 days we were supposed to pick him up for a home visit and a mini-family vacation time together for four days.

This is so difficult because this child has seemed to have a heart filled with wickedness from the earliest age and only seems to be getting worse. He has specifically rejected Christ, openly saying that he wants to do what he wants to do and he's attracted to the world. He's now 16 (17 in November) and I'm concerned he may have already seared his heart.

Please pray...

I am praying, John. I know there is no hurt like the hurt you are going through; family struggles can hit us "Below the belt" sometimes. Just cling to Jesus, it's all you can do, and pray. Remember,he'll never forget his background, and "when he is old, he will not depart from it" (Prov. 22:6)

I just called the Christian boarding school and they gave me the cell number of the principal who was in the field. I called him and he was on a 4-wheeler chasing two of the boys who were on a stolen 4-wheeler. He didn't know if one of them was Timmy or not.

He said there is nothing we can do right now other than wait for them to call when they have some news.

Your continued prayers are appreciated!

We just received a call from the principal and they have Timmy and one of the other boys. Since Timmy is 16 the cops cuffed him and took him away for stolen vehicle. The principal said the police should call us and ask us what they should do with him. He told us if we want him to return to the Christian boarding school they will take him back and I told him that's what we want so he said to tell the police that.

Thank you so much for your prayers and support. If I learn more I'll let you know.

hallelujah! Thanks for the update! Whoooeeee, God is good.

Amen! I dropped to my knees and thanked God and am still in a state of thankfulness.

Now we have to wait until later today or perhaps even tomorrow to find out what the police plan to do. Currently he's in custody charged with stealing a vehicle (the 4-wheeler), dangerous operation of a vehicle and fleeing the police. Timmy wasn't driving the 4-wheeler but from what I understand both Timmy and the boy who was driving the vehicle face the same charges.

I pray he will learn his lesson before he gets into serious trouble.

We know a man who, left his home in Canada to escape his Christian parents. He visited his grandparents in England & accepted from his grandfather what he rejected from his parents. Shortly afterwards, his father conducted his baptism in our church! Andrew is now in the ministry.

Our God is great.

I'm so sorry, John....I'm just now seeing this thread.

Thank you Suzy.

The police have released him back to the Christian boarding school and he may or may not be charged with a class 2 misdemeanor and given 6-12 months prOBation.

Sadly, this all seems to be a big adventure to him, he still rejects right and relishes that which is wrong.

Only by repenting and accepting Christ will he turn from the path of wickedness. It's very clear where he's headed otherwise; both in this life and the next. :icon_sad:

I rejected God for 23 years of my life. I was very harsh at times to my mom who raised my 2 younger brothers and me. Never cease to pray for him and be ready to welcome him with open arms. May God comfort you in these hard times. Edited by MatthewDiscipleOfGod
