God Bless America?

I really, truly do know that salvation is a personal thing, that a nation cannot be saved as a group. And nowhere did I indicate (and I don't think anyone else who likes the song did either) otherwise.

A wicked nation may not have any right to ask God's blessing - but I do. And I will continue to. And I will continue to sing the song in the prayerful way that I always have. And will continue to love it. I'm sorry if you (not anyone particular) don't like the song. But that isn't going to kill my enjoyment of it.

This was intresting thread LOL. Even tho I adore the song God Bless America both versions I don't think America is a Christian nation anymore because of all the filth and junk poluteing our youth and adults lives. How can a nation be a Christian nation if you have same sex marriages, people avoiding to have kids, Kids carrying guns to school, Kids listening to rock junk, people doing drugs, people mocking Gods words? I believe when the older God Bless America song was written it was written in the ERA of people respecting Church, God's word, the family and babies being born and also education that was proper.
My Pastor at our new Church said how can this country be Christian when all of the above has in it? However, I am glad some day we will all be with our Saviour and don't have to worry about the worries of this country.
