Its easy to find atrocities because most humans follow the Devil, Satan, Lucifer, prince of the power of the air, who is God's number 1 arch enemy, & he has been at it every since God threw him out of Heaven. Isaiah 14:12,13,14 12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. 15 Yet thou shalt be brought dow…

A “Jehovah’s Witness” (Russelite), once told me that the apostles never claimed that Jesus was God; God never made such a claim; neither did Jesus Himself claim to be God, nor the prophets. Hence this study came about. Heb 1:1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Heb 1:2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Heb 1:8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Heb 1:10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of…

Not many days ago I cleaned out my martins houses. A few days ago Linda & I both thought we may have seen a martin, but are not sure. But today we did see at least 2 pair as we returned home after church services. Its always great to see them return, a big sign that spring time is not far off. I believe last year we did not see one until March. They are such a happy birds, their songs are so cheerful, & they fly so graceful through the air catching & eating many insect. For the next few weeks they will work very hard building their nest for raising their young. And after they hatch out both the father & mother will work endless trying to keep their babi…

Paul’s warning to you who say the church has replaced Israel Romans 11:11-27 11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy. 12 Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness? 13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office: 14 If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them. 15 For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, w…

Many times I've heard the question as follows... If you could only have one book of the Bible which one would it be and why? I don't like that question, so here is my revised question... If you could only have five books of the Bible which ones would they be and why? My five would be Genesis, Isaiah, Matthew, Romans, and Revelation (not in any order of preference). The why comes later. Anyone else care to play along?

The term "false teachers" gets used a lot but what is an accurate definition of a false teacher? This may seem like a strange question, but I've heard a very wide variety of views on this over the years, all the way from virtually most all pastors falling into that category to very few. What does it take for someone to truly be considered a false teacher?

Christian: It's time to vote with your feet I confess right out of the gate that this column is not going to be enjoyable for me to write. It may not be enjoyable for some to read. But the time has come that it has to be said. If Christians truly have any intentions of helping to preserve liberty for their children and grandchildren, they must put rhetoric, tradition, friendship, and personal feelings aside and take action. Christian: it is time to vote with your feet. And while many people who never darken the doors of a church love to cast stones at preachers and churches, I have been in the Gospel ministry all of my adult life. I have pastored for over 37 years. I …

Just watched CBS news and they said 2012 was the warmest year on record with an average of 55.3 degrees. Earlier I watched Sky News and they said South East Australia has the hottest temperature on record wit many bush fires and temperatures approaching 50.C. We have had a mild winter in this area so far, only with one night going down to -8C and a couple at 0 to -2. Last night it was about 8C just a tad down from the day temperature. We can normally expect temperatures just below or just above freezing during the nights at this time of the year. We have had the wettest year on record in some areas. However, a report on the news this evening said that the M…

1Co 6:7 Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded? I realize this verse refers to suing a brother in Christ, but for what reason do we sue anyone? Is it not a sort of revenge? Or "teaching them a lesson? Or maybe we need the money? What do you see as a valid reason for a lawsuit, and why? Personally, I do not feel it is right to sue anyone, whether brother in the Lord or not. (Just my opinion and practice)

“Husbands, love your wives”—train your children, but love your wives. Nowhere in the Bible are we commanded to “train” our wives, but to love them. God made man out of dirt, and he has been nothing but dirt ever since! God made man to be free....then He made woman! Man is the head of the home, but woman is the heart; no body can function without a head or a heart. children are a blessing from the Lord, but often a bane to the family if not trained. Love is the “glue” that holds marriages together. Few things unite a people like adversity. (Sept 11, 2001) There is little in this life more refreshing than a loving wife. Compassion is the…

Do you sin? Romans 7:14-25 14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. 15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. 16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. 17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. 18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. 19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. 20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do…

“That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth” Who made any of us lawyers of the word of God? God’s word is given of God, and carries with it an elevated preeminence which can never be attained by words from men. The only words of men fit for any use are those which humbly point toward our perfect God and Savior, Jesus Christ; and that by the Holy Spirit's leading. Illustration is acceptable when persuading others of the truth in God's word. Psalms 12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Isaiah 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the …

I was reading some articles about the topic but I lost the page; didn't even know the Grammys had happened or that they acknowledged CCM. In any even, in one (maybe two) of the articles, they mentioned that certain CCM artists are gaining some non-Christian listeners. The article went on to point out how many are attracted to the quality music in a style they are familiar with but as they listen they hear the Gospel, with the result of some becoming Christians. As far as I know, the articles I was reading were written by secular writers, so they didn't go into detail.

Should Women Be in Ministry or Not? 10:00AM EST 2/12/2013 Ron Cantor with Dr. Daniel C. Juster I am a little nervous as my fingers hit the keyboard. Seeing what kind of firestorm was unleashed from blogs by Lee Grady and Jennifer LeClaire, both excellent writers—do I really dare add my two cents on women in ministry? Ahhh, why not? Government vs. Ministry Is it possible that both camps are right to some degree? We must separate governmental authority from ministry gifts. For the most part, men are called to govern (eldership), but women can teach, preach, prophesy, etc. (see Eph. 4 regarding spiritual gifts). Yes, there are exceptions like Deborah. But Deborah is one …

Some folks are not going to appreciate this. It falls under a category of "common sense" and observance. Please read it with a tender spirit. I gave it the title myself, which sees the mind as the spirit. Body, Soul, and Spirit Man is a triune creation, composed of a spirit, a mind, and a body. Below we have six way6s that these can be arranged, and the probable characteristics of each. THE FIRST: body, mind, spirit. The body controls the mind, and the mind controls the spirit. This is the most dangerous of the six stages, or conditions of man. These believe that “anything goes”; self is god, sensuality dominates their life. Self is always first a…

We all know that our government is always looing for ways to spy on its citizens, usually those who it feels that’s breaking its laws, but it could go much deeper than that. A feature on Dish & the Weather Channel got me to thinking. This feature on Dish & the Weather Channel is at times when your on the Weather Channel you can press “Select,” & it will give your local weather. When will our government start embedding a microphone & or a web cam in the TV’s its citizens buys so they can see & hear what’s going on in our homes? It seems like they might not be very far from being able to do that. I would not put it past them. They have not always bee…

Westboro Baptist Daughters Leave Hate-Mongering Church, Apologize for Harm 1:00PM EST 2/8/2013 Gina Meeks Grace (left) and Megan Phelps-Roper, former Westboro Baptist Church members, picket the 2010 Academy Awards (Flickr: k763) The hate-mongering cult congregation Westboro Baptist Church (WBC) has lost two of its members. Granddaughters of founder Fred Phelps—Megan Phelps-Roper, 27, and her 19-year-old sister, Grace—explained their decision in a joint statement released on Wednesday. “We know that we’ve done and said things that hurt people,” Megan Phelps-Roper wrote. “Inflicting pain on others wasn’t the goal, but it was one of the outcomes. We wish it weren’t so, …
