WHEN THE "LIVE AND LET LIVE" MENTALITY BECOMES VICE By Selwyn Duke OctOBer 5, 2010 NewsWithViews.com While there was a time when I might have described myself as a libertarian, those days are long gone. In fact, I don’t even call myself a conservative anymore. Oh, don’t get me wrong, I agree with libertarians on many issues, and their governmental model is vastly preferable to what liberals have visited upon us. Yet there is a prOBlem: However valid their vision of government may be, their vision of society renders it unattainable. Thomas Jefferson once said, “The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does m…

Wednesday September 29, 2010 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OBama Says Teachings of Jesus Christ 'Spoke to Me,' then Defends Abortion By Kathleen Gilbert ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico, September 29, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Following reports of widespread skepticism over his professed Christianity, President OBama on Tuesday invoked the teachings of Jesus Christ as the inspiration for his public agenda, which he called part of an "effort to express my Christian faith" - and in his next breath defended the legalized killing of unborn children. When a teacher's assistant asked him why he was a Christian during a townha…

D O G Chronicles Lessons from my dog (from her point of view.) An Analogy Life at the end a chain can be quite frustrating. One sees many things that he would like to investigate, and yet, cannot reach. It seems as if this confinement is a prison, and yet, we all have our own “prison” whether of thought or in the flesh. Even when free from the chain, the confinement is there, for I am fenced in, isolated from the vast and interesting world of exploration. So, the freedom is a limited freedom, but welcome indeed. A “limited freedom” is not so bad, since it also keeps out the bully dogs! Yes, it not only confines, but protects, and one must appreciate that… …

As an ex-marijuana user, I can attest to the fact that pot does not heal pain so much as it makes you feel so good that you don't care about the pain! Do you think that this issue with medical marijuana is valid? i don't. I have seen it and experienced it. it does lead to lore potent drugs. In fact, many times it is "laced" with opium (as in Vietnam) or hashish, or something stronger for more "kick". I suppose that soon, if this mary-jane thing goes through I suppose they'll say opiates do a better jOB even than pot does. By the way, why do you think they call it "Pot?" it needs to be flushed down the commode, that's why.

For those who may be interested, there is an excellent web site for ladies that deals with different aspects of abuse. It was put together by a lady in Indiana, and is chock full of ladies issues. The url is: http://titus2menandwomen.org/cms/ I used to write devotions for them, and made about 25 bible puzzles on their old site. Check it out when you get time. (I get nothing from the promotion of this site, according to the rules of this forum. it was designed by a friend of mine, and that is all.)

My dear true Christian friends, While the once bastion of goodness that was the British Empire has long been seen a lost cause by most of you, it is truly heartbreaking to read and watch the Fox News reports about the current happenings. Overrun by the Mooslims and other satanists, the "Albion" has now welcomed the Pope. Not only that, but instead of plotting or at least turning the blind eye to any attempts to either shorten this visit or make it the last of its kind on the British soil, they are arresting some individuals who are allegedly threatening the chief heathen of the whore of Babylon. I do miss the time when the "Pope" would've been either shot on arriv…

If Evolution is true... ...How do you tell right from wrong? Evolution says everything is a result of some cosmic accident billions of years ago. If this is true why do we have a conscience? The word conscience come from two words con = with and science = knowledge. When we do wrong our conscience convicts us of sin. Is it reasonable to believe that our conscience evolved or that is was given to us by our Creator. The Bible says "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." (Genesis 1:1) God has given us a way to tell right from wrong. The Ten Commandments. "Thou shalt not bear false witness...", "Thou shalt not steal.", "Thou shalt not take the name of the L…

Ann Coulter Rocks HomoCon, Blasts Same-Sex “Marriage” By Peter J. Smith NEW YORK, September 28, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Conservative commentator Ann Coulter stayed true to her reputation for courting controversy during an address to homosexual conservatives in New York on Saturday, telling them that they did not need special rights and that marriage was the union of a man and a woman. According to reports, Coulter charmed her audience of 150 at the HomoCon fundraiser for GOProud with a number of jokes, admitting that it must have been difficult to come out of the closet and tell their parents that they were conservatives. But then the outspoken pundit said to he…

What recommendation would you make for a solid Bible teacher? I listen/read J. Vernon McGee, Oliver B. Greene, J Bennet Collins, my pastor, Charles E. Fuller, Andrew Murray, Martyn Lloyd-Jones ... I read my Bible also, but I need a teacher I can trust apart from the Holy Ghost inside me. Someone who won't guide me away from truth. Who would you recommend that is solid and dependable? Thank You.

Poison is a slow killer. Many times, when one poisons another, it is over a long period of time, with increasing amounts added each time. Often the victim becomes ill and doesn't know what's wrong until they have consumed way too much poison into their system. They say that anti-freeze is sweet to the taste, but very deadly. This poison is particularly deceptive because of the sweetness of it; it can easily be added to soft drinks without detection. Satan is wily; he too has his poison; many times it is a slow working poison, but it too is very deadly. Sin can appear "sweet" and even be somewhat delicious, but in the end it brings forth death. The attractiveness ser…

I'm almost done reading the book titled "When God Is In It!" By: Evangelist J. Bennett Collins. It's a wonderful trip down memory lane for the writer and using humor, pathos, and pictures of the days of real revival it truly reveals how God worked in his life during the forties and fifties. He writes about the tent revivals with Dr. Oliver B. Greene and the impact they had in many towns. I live near the spot where Oliver Greene had his last revival meeting. I recommend it for anyone who might be interested in the history of fundamentalism in America. It's a good read and I can't put it down. Here is a link where you can purchase this book: http://shop.sermonandsongm…

http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2010/09/24/time-moves-faster-upstairs/ This is cool. I know God is not bound by Science but He did create science....I've always wondered if the Lake of Fire would be similar to a Black Hole because literally its a "black" heat that actually turns into x-rays its so hot....and time slows down and even stops in a black hole. But the opposite...the farther you get from the black hole/i.e. center of gravity, the faster time goes and God says one day with Him is like a thousand years to us!!!!! Cool.

“for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” (Heb. 13:5 c) The Lord has promised to “Never” leave us, no, not for a moment even; nor “forsake us”, altogether. We have a two-fold promise in this one sentence, and God cannot go against His promise. We have, first: The promise that He will not leave us at all. Many teach that the Lord withdraws from us, and leaves us at times because our sin comes between He and us, and if we confess it, and forsake it, He draws near unto us again and fellowship is restored. Though this is partially true, the promise is that He will never, ever leave us, and we must believe His promise rather than man’s teaching. …

THE SUPPRESION OF TRUTH By Coach Dave Daubenmire September 23, 2010 NewsWithViews.com "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them." -Romans 1:18-19 The Holy Scriptures tell us that truth is OBvious. In fact, those who deny it are engaging in self-deception. To suppress is to “resist consciously.” Suppression is not a disbelief of the truth but a denial of it. There is a world of difference between ignorance of the truth and a denial of it. The existence of God and the laws of Nat…
