Please pray for my ds Miciah (5yrs) he was bit by a cat on Saturday. I thought I cleaned the wound good enough that I didn't take him to the dr (next time I'll know better). It was worse on Sun so after church we brought him to the dr and they put him on antibiotics and sent him home saying that if the red infected area was bigger to bring him back in. We brought him in Monday and they admitted him into the hospital for the infection. They now have him on 2 different types of antibiotics and are hoping that he can come home after supper tonight depending on if the red area gets smaller and if the Infectious Disease Dr says ok. Please pray that he can come home soon. …

On Thursday we will have a church pick-nick. It is a good chance to invite unsaved friends and family. Last year 5 souls got saved. My uncle told me he will come. Please pray that this will be the day of his second birth.

Our church is having a six week marriage seminar beginning tonight. Please pray this will be led by the Holy Ghost, that marriages will be strengthened and built up in Christ, the leaders will be led of the Spirit, those planning to marry will be prepared for marriage and the will of God may be done through this marriage seminar for His glory.

We just got a letter from the state. Our kids were on Sooner Care (the state version of Medicaid) but this time, even though we sent them everything they asked, they claimed we didn't (without specifying what we didn't send) and told us we were rejected. Two of our kids have a serious congenital condition and our income is right at the poverty level for a family our size. Obviously we can't afford the medical care, but for some reason they are giving us a hard time about it. Pray that this mess will be straightened out soon.

I have to go to court today regarding the custody of my children and pray that I walk in with the mind and heart of Jesus. I pray for His protection, wisdon and discernment. Pray that justice and truth will prevail. I know by the court papers he intends on lying to make himself look better and me look bad. His 16 year old daughter is willing to, too. They still think it is amusing because they think they are going to get away with what they did, because I did not leave the area when I got my children back after they were returned to me when they were kidnapped. I would ask that any that feel led to please pray for my Great-niece(Gabriel) she is my oldest Niece's daughter she is just a little over 2 years old. I received a call from my Niece this morning that Gabriel was having a lot of pain from cutting 8 teeth in a row and her Father just recently deployed to Afghanistan, so she was going through a lot of separation anxiety. But when the pain didn't go away after a little while my niece took Gabriel to the Doctor and he ran some blood work and her Alkaline Phosphate levels are 4700 normal for her age would be 81, and even with an infection or inflammation from cutting teeth they still shouldn't be higher than 200. After receiving an epidural prior to delivery a young woman who's family attends my church died. The baby was delivered and is healthy. The young woman was the only source of income for the family. The young father, now a widow, was a stay at home husband caring for the couples 14 month old. He now finds himself the father of two babies, one 14 months and the other only days old, and without any source of income. I don't know if he was saved or not. I don't know how much his family is capable of helping. I cannot give names for this other than his name is Jim. Please pray for God to help this young man.

Praise the Lord friends! Please keep me and the wife in prayer. We are in the Navy stationed in Japan. We have our house in Virginia being rented. Now, it doesn't look like the people are going to qualify to buy it. We really want to sell it but you all know how the market for housing is now. If we don't rent it, we will have to pay the mortgage ourself while over here in Japan, that will include paying for the lawn to be cut as well. There seems to be a satanic attack on marriages in this area. Four couples in our church are in counseling with our pastor due to marriage problems and now several other couples from the area (who are not members of our church) have sought out our pastor for counseling. The problems range from longstanding marriages suddenly hit by adultery, to couples dealing with fairly minor issues that are threatening to destroy their marriages. Our pastor has been here over 25 years and has never seen so many marriages taking hits like this all at once and with such a sense of wicked outside influence. A couple of weeks ago, Elizabeth was able to feel cold things for the first time with her finger since her injury. This week, she has lost that sensation again. Her physical therapist admitted to her that she believes that the scar tissue in the finger has wrapped around the tendon in her finger. This is what is causing the lack of mobility in her finger. Her finger is swollen and warm tonight, but that might just be from all the bumps she has received today from the kids and what not. I wondered if you all might pray for our little Liddy (she's 11 months) if the Lord brings her to mind during your prayer time. She has been running a fever over 101 for a couple of days, but she has no sign of anything else other than she is not sleeping or eating well and is fussy off and on. No cold, no teething etc. The doctor checked her ears, lungs, throat etc. today and said that he wanted to rule out a bladder infection. We are supposed to get the results on that back on Fri. Our church is hosting a gathering of pastors and church workers from several conservative churches in the region. At this gathering our pastor will be preaching at a Saturday night service on May 16. Please pray the Lord will use this gathering to encourage and build up these men of God, that the Lord may use this for His glory, honour and the expansion of His kingdom. Please pray also that we may fill our sanctuary on that Saturday service; may souls be won to Christ and those in Christ be edified and equiped for the work God has for us. Our church is having a revival this week. Pray that we'd see some sinners saved and some backsliders get right with God. I pray revival truly does break out. I had the kids at Master Club tonight when Jonathan started to cry - hard - saying his head hurt. This went on for just a little bit, and I decided to just take all the kids home. One of my friends daughters has suddenly started fainting this week. Only warning is she repeats last word. Once she faints her body stiffens and then she's tired for hours afterwards. Her Peditrician did a EEG right away and she was told today there was a problem.Catcher is DR. won't be on until Fri. or maybe even Mon.!! This dear saint has bone cancer, she is 84 and will be 85 in May. The cancer is spreading throughout her body. The doctors have said there is nothing more they can do for her and sent her home. Need prayer for my oldest son (21) who just got into trouble hanging around the wrong people. Just pray that God gets a hold of him finally and that he finally decides to stay away from these friends and submits to God. Everytime these friends came into town, he would avoid visiting and going to church. Also myself for some personal issues coming up in the beginning of May. The infection has come back in my wife's hand. Right now, I am in the hospital waiting room while she is being preped for another surgery. Pray that all will go well for her. Yes, I have a pastor friend in the Independence, MO area that spoke against this often. I've got an aunt and uncle in O'Fallon, MO who could be on either side of the issue. -
The country seems to be going in a positive direction, sadly in Missouri we allowed amendment three to be passed.

I complete agree brother, we younger people are taught as you said that we are the descendants of primates, we are then taught that as you’ve mentioned about the new view of the Bible, that our religion is wrong and backward, a very sad thing in todays education. I hear it even from teachers and peers who would profess to be Christians.

It's strange how the Bible was held in such high esteem then, but that after this trial, not so very far from where I live today, the Bible is no longer welcomed into the classroom, and we are now considered to be the proginy of monkeys. It's so very sad. -
Hello brothers and sisters, I was recently given the assignment of writing a paper on the infamous Scopes V. Tennessee trial. I found it quite interesting how the defense attorney, Clarence Darrow, had no genuine argument or examination of the evidence itself. He instead called the prosecuting attorney, Mr. William Jennings Bryan, as a sole witness and ridiculed his faith, interpretation of the Bible, and his view of the creation account.
