Well, it is official. My son will be going active on Oct. 5. He isn't being deployed, but is going to be full time in a mission with his unit. It will last from 1-3 years, after which he will be deployed or put back on the mission for another 3 years. He is moving about 2 1/2 hours away. Please pray for him. Both spiritually and physically.

One of our trucks for work was stolen this weekend from our back parking lot at work. There was about $5,000 worth of goods inside the truck, plus the value of the truck. I'll post more details as time goes on.

Hi everyone. Could you all please pray for my best friend, Darrell? I told him I was going to start going to the independent fundamentalist Baptist church in my area again and he got all upset because I told him that this is the same church that his enemy goes to. This person caused him a bunch of trouble a couple of months ago and he's terrified that something is going to start up again. Please pray for him that he would trust me and that nothing would start up again.

I was reading a book on soul winning last night. It was talking about the rich man and Lazarus. It hit me how little we really comprehend the fact that hell is forever. The people we fail to witness to everyday will one day without Christ spend an Eternity in the Lake of Fire. Please pray for me that God will make this fact real in my life and the lives of others. They were coming home from church and just a few blocks away when a car almost hit our van. Elizabeth had to go up onto the curb to avoid being hit, but in doing so, something has happened to the tire and we can't drive the van. I was at home tonight with Esther and Jonathan, who are sick. Elizabeth had Nathaniel run home to have me bring out her cell phone and a flashlight. She is there with the van now waiting for the tow truck.

Please pray for us. I finally found a buyer to buy my trailer and lot. But now because of new city ordinances they will not allow anyone to move it. They will not put a meter box etc. Because no one has lived in it for 12 months. I finally thought I could sell the land and not have to deal with the taxes and hassle of having to check in one the place. I have a meeting with the city council Wed Oct 7th. Please pray that I will get permission to let someone move on to my land..

Esther is now not feeling well. We started giving her Motrin at the first sign of not feeling well, but she has a low grade fever right now. I am thinking I will have to stay home from church with her tonight.

This is a praise report as well as prayer request for myself and my family. In the past few months I got interested in a complicated practice which in many cases seems to be harmless and could supposedly be explained in a natural and "scientific" way. I was still skeptical and decided to investigate it more thoroughly. The problem is that even though I hadn't actually done the practice, I believe I was to some extent influenced by it and its philosophies. Please pray for our friends, the Kilstrom family (PCC Grad-Hope Baker Kilstrom)-they, along with their four precious children were hit head on by a drunk driver. All survived but have serious injuries -especially pray for their 3 yr old daughter in critical condition at MUSC-she is in the ICU. We know prayer works in unexplainable ways, so please pray for a miracle for this sweet family. Hope's knee was badly broken in the crash. The doctor's don't believe there will be a full recovery. I don't know all the details, but will do my best to keep you updated.

Elizabeth was heading out the door while holding our youngest child and somehow slipped on our steps. She fell down two stairs onto the sidewalk and landed on her hip (on top of an oil lamp that was at the corner of the sidewalk). She was very careful not to land on Jonathan, and just before she hit the ground, she tossed him into the grass in the front yard so he wouldn't hit the sidewalk, also. Jonathan is all right, but Ellizabeth has a very big bruise and lump on her hip/leg. She is very sore today, too. Pray for quick healing from this accident.

Some dear friends were on their way down from Mass. to spend some time with us here in Tenn. They got a call on the way that Denise's mom has had a stroke. They were still on their way, but they were going to drive all the way to Nevada to see her when they left our house on Monday. Well, they just got a call telling them to get there fast, it does not look like she is going to make it. They are flying out of Nashville tomorrow morning. Please pray they make it in time, and for God's grace and peace for their family, and for traveling mercies. Ben

I have a really bad cold. I wanted to stay in bed today but I got a call last night from one of my co-workers. He needs me togo to Germany with him due to his severe migrains. He needs to see a doctor there but if a migrain hits, he can't drive. So I need to go. Please pray my cold go completely away. Thanks!

The problem is often the starting point is belief there is no God...or they cant know. Just because they look at things they can observe, they automatically rule out the supernatural. What they fail to see is they have their own religion, because they never observed one species become another. They have faith that whales became cows.. dinosaurs became birds and ape like creatures became humans. They don't have good evidence for this. Most creation scientists talk about what glasses you put on to view the evidence. I don't like this kind of thinking because it doesn't talk about the facts...but it does show preconceived assumptions. -

My niece sent me a text yesterday telling me that my father had asked for her pastor to come out to the house to talk to him about eternity. He admitted that he was a sinner and needed the Lord, and he asked the Lord to save him. Praise the Lord for answered prayers. -

Yes, I have a pastor friend in the Independence, MO area that spoke against this often. I've got an aunt and uncle in O'Fallon, MO who could be on either side of the issue.
