I believe the last one that I participated in at the church, was around two years ago. If people are not getting saved, and disciple that could make it, where there’s no baptism going on. Like the church that I am visiting. I’m not looking for the perfect church, but I did notice this. They are looking for a new preacher, it has been a while, maybe this could be the reason. I did mention it to one of the deacons, maybe he’ll bring it out in one of their meetings. This is not on the guest preacher‘s menu, baptism. I don’t know why the preacher below baptizing is dressed in black.

I don't know how your church practices baptism, but in every church that I have joined, the candidate must present a public profession of faith. Then the pastor says, "Upon your profession of faith in Christ, I baptize you, my brother, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Buried in the likeness of his death and raised to walk in newness of life." Baptist churches have always admitted only regenerate members. Other institutional and state churches killed Baptists for this practice. Church discipline handled the problems and the restoration of ill-behaved members. This is the way to ensure that unregenerate people cannot become members with voting ri…

It was 1792, and world evangelism was barely on the radar of Baptist churches in England. But it was heavy on the heart of a thirty-one-year-old bivocational pastor in Northamptonshire. His name was William Carey, and he was passionate about the Great Commission. Carey’s appeal to other pastors to form a missionary agency had been met with apathy or pushback. But Carey couldn’t be silent. So he researched the needs of Christless people and studied the call to missions in the New Testament. And he wrote a booklet titled An Enquiry into the Obligations of Christians to Use Means for the Conversion of the Heathens. The booklet was divided into five sections covering the hi…

Here in the United States, we are quickly approaching Election Day. Even now, over thirty states, including California where I live, have opened early voting. Religious liberty and the freedom to select our leaders is, historically speaking, an amazing, unprecedented privilege. And American Christians have the unique opportunity to engage in the processes that can help preserve these freedoms. I have long believed that American Christians have a patriotic duty to engage in the election process by voting, and I believe they have a moral duty to cast that vote, as best as they can, according to biblical issues. Over the years, I have consistently cast my vote through a g…

Matt.25 [13] Watch therefore, for ye know neither theday nor the hour wherein the Son of man come. 🤫Man never learns, and is always trying to find out, when will Christ return the second time. It seems like the more years that they are preaching and in the ministry, that they forget this verse they somehow have a revealing view that makes them know, this secret. 🤫

What is "non-dispensational"?? 1 2

I just saw an IFB church's statement of faith that claimed to be "non-dispensational", and now I can't figure out what it means exactly. Everyone knows that there are "dispensations"... different ways God dealt with people at different times, so how can someone claim to believe the King James Bible and be "non-dispensational", unless I'm not understanding the definition of the word? (this is not a topic on Dispensational Truth.... so I don't intend for it to become a discussion about that, I just want to know what "non-dispensational" means... if anyone here knows)

From the Old Testament to the New Testament, we have seen that the man has always been the leaders, kings, and heads of household. What does the Bible say, about women’s role in leading nations, and countries in this world at end times? Will God, let a woman control this world, and why? 🌎

I've come across many Baptist pastors and parishoners who listen to the speakers in this clip on a regular basis. They are being filled with the heretical teachings of these people. I pray they'll learn from this clip.

It was hard to say which was the most stifling—the summer Philadelphia heat or the bickering and objections each time a suggestion was raised. It was 1787, and the Constitutional Convention had been meeting for over a month but had made little to no progress on forming the American Constitution. Finally, at the end of another day of heated debate, an elderly member of the convention stood to his feet and arrested the attention of the group. “Mr. President,” he began, “the small progress we have made after four or five weeks . . . and continual reasonings with each other—our different sentiments on almost every question . . . is methinks a melancholy proof of the imperfe…

There are some folks who think that the crucifixion took place on the 6th day of the week with the resurrection taking place on the 1st day of the week. The Messiah said that He would be in the "heart of the earth" for 3 days and 3 nights (Matthew 12:40). Of those who think that the crucifixion took place on the 6th day of the week, there are some who think that the "heart of the earth" mentioned in the verse is referring to the tomb. However, a 6th day of the week crucifixion/1st day of the week resurrection allows for only 2 nights to be involved with the Messiah's time in the tomb. To account for the lack of a 3rd night, there may be some of those mentioned above …

Reader, When a person hears the "Gospel", as, "faith comes by hearing" ... then this faith is proof something happened in the heart of the Believer that God SEES... as "God sees the heart" And what is that, that God sees that has happened inside you? God sees your "repentance" ....that is of the kind that God accepts, and that is not repenting from sin....but its repenting from UNBELIEF. See, God is not looking for people who are willing to "clean up"... as = ""Jesus came into the world to save SINNERS" See that Reader? God is looking for FAITH IN CHRIST...and then God will clean you ............So, God is looking for FAITH.....as that proves yo…

Is Hell a place of eternal torment? That is the long and the short of it. My friend the rabbi says the Christian concept of hell is not the Jewish concept of hell. Furthermore let's postulate that for the Christian it should be understood more properly you either have eternal life or you are eternally dead. And that death is a place of no thought basically you're "asleep" let's say that you have no more part in this world and that the dead are dead and they stay dead until the return of Jesus Christ in the clouds. And that once Christ returns the dead in Christ shall rise first, that nobody who's died is alive today in heaven except for Jesus Christ, who is resurrected. …

Reader, There is this Teaching that the more hyper Calvinists seem to employ. This.. = "You must be born again, before you can believe, before you can give God your faith". Now, any Believer who is born again for 12 seconds, can see that this is exactly backwards, and is an impossible situation to EXIST. That teaching is teaching that God would join Himself to a sinner, as "one with God" "in Christ"...= before God has received their faith to then forgive their sin. So that teaching is... "you are born again, before you have heard the Gospel, and before you have BELIEVED IT"> That is,= "Salvation comes to you.... before the hearin…

Over the past several days, in social media streams there has been promotion of a group, “Evangelicals for Harris.” The group proposes that people should vote for the Harris-Walz presidential ticket as “a Matthew 25 witness of love of neighbor.”1 I understand Christians having concerns over Donald Trump and the weakening position of the RNC on abortion. And I understand Christians believing they should consider how political policies affect those in poverty or who are otherwise marginalized. But I wondered why those who call themselves born-again Christians would actively support a presidential candidate who stands opposed to the biblical position on clearly significant…

As we serve in ministry, it’s easy to get caught up in the busyness of preaching, leading, and managing daily tasks, but what happens when our soul is depleted? What do you do when the passion that once fueled your ministry is buried under the weight of schedules, expectations, and even discouragement? In this new episode of the Spiritual Leadership Podcast, I’m joined by my son Larry as we discuss the health of a pastor’s soul. We look at the importance of prioritizing your walk with God, the challenges pastors and ministry leaders face today, and the practical steps to renewing and replenishing the heart, mind, and body. Giving attention to your soul is essential for a…

Not to go too deep into this, but I've been a NIFB for a long time now. But slowly God has been showing me how much pure hatred and anger this sect is. Granted, in my flesh, I loved it. I loved being RIGHT and angry and even "Godly Hateful". That screaming bold preaching made my flesh feel so good. But it made my soul and heart lose sight of Christ and his love and mercy. Anyways. I'm stubborn, but im willing to learn. There are 3 doctrines the NIFB held, which i still do, but 95% of IFB do not. So please send me any links, videos etc. Because I need to UNbrainwash myself from a decade of possibly wrong teachings. Which are: 1. Dispensationalis…

I have been wondering what the deal is with the suit and tie in our churches. Where does this come from as far as the scriptures are concerned? When we go out visiting, I have often felt that the shirt and tie combo really causes people to be defensive, many think us to be Jehova's Witnesses at times, and for some reason it just seems to cause people to get defensive. Where do we get this idea that God wants us to wear shirts and ties and suits at church or when doing ministry?

I have looked at Ephesians 4 and it was shown to me that it is a supporting passage for the cessation of supernaturally empowered ministry gifts. With 1 co 13 as the main passage shown for sign gifts ceasing..Ephesians 4 was shown to me as ministry gifts ceasing. What that meant is we now have faith, hope and love as abiding spiritual gifts. When I look at Ephesians 4 though .. that looks to me like maturing in a church in unity with other members, rather than saying at a time in the future, ministry gifts will cease. 'The knowledge of the unity of the faith' 'measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ ' was shown to me to be the complete cano…

I believe this man is a calvinist, but I think that's irrelevant in this context. Whenever I see these statements come up, I wonder which scripture it comes from. I was reminded of this verse. "Proverbs 14: 1 Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands." That verse says, basically, that a woman has the power to build up her family and the power to destroy it. We need to get away from this unbiblical stuff about putting all of the responsibility and blame on one sex and forgetting the other. Paul didn't do that, neither did Peter or any of the others. Both Mom and Dad or either one, can either ruin their family or prosper it. It tak…

Christian standers are no longer enforced in many churches. Today you can become a pastor of a church with your new wife, being a divorced man. Also, this can be applied to deacons. some are accepting women leaders, like preachers, deacons, ushers, and more. as our governments get weaker, so is our churches, sad to say..🥲

Last weekend I was preaching in South Jersey and on Saturday night the pastor had me over for dinner. We were talking when he started telling me that they had some missionaries they supported that were sent out by Ruckman's mission board. The missionaries were supported before this pastor came. The pastor wanted to know what these missionaries believed, so he sent them a questioner with a few Ruckamn things on it like what do you believe about advanced revelation, abortion, aliens, double inspiration, and etc. To make a long story short, the church ended up dropping one of the missionaries support because the answer was "I will follow Ruckman to the day I die". I thoug…

As I was recently browsing old photos, I was blessed to realize that God has allowed me to know some truly great men. Over the past few months, I’ve been sharing some of these pictures and memories to introduce readers of this blog to some of these men. Bobby Roberson Unique Trait: Loyalty Bobby Roberson was a giant amongst men. He was a man of great faith who encouraged me in ways I’ll never forget. I first really got to know Dr. Bobby through Bible conferences I would attend. When I preached for the first time at a Sword of the Lord meeting, he befriended me. I remember how he walked me around the church, introduced me to the tomato sandwich, and simply determined to …
