UGH, more heat. At least we have a break from the heat today, a cloudy morning, misty, at least the sun is not baking ups at the moment even though only a mist is falling.

Up until 2 to 3, it was not bad, them it got very muggy. Let's see. Sunday we got a trace of rain, them on Monday we got a trace of rain, so I suppose that means we go two traces of rain in two days in a row.

We certainly don't have to worry about mud around here right now! The weatherman now says there is a chance of showers and a drop in temperature sometime next week. As it looks right now, it will be another week of not needing to mow the yard. At least I'm saving on gas!

Yes, but your grass will die, weeds will take its place, & when it comes a big rain, you will have a muddy yard.

I need my grass in my yard very bad, I live on a hill side, when it comes a big rain there's much water runs across my yard, the grass keeps it from washing ruts in my yard, from washing the dirt in my yard to the bottom of the hill side.

I've never had my grass die out. It turns brown, stops growing until it rains, and then after a good rain the green comes back and it starts growing again. It think now they say we may have rain coming this way sometime between Sunday and Tuesday.

Long dry spells is hard on both grass, flowers, bushes, & trees, & due to long dry spells they die out. Of course there's seed left, & when it rains some grass will come back, along with many weeds. A good turf of grass will block out the seeds of undesirables weeds from growing.

The 1st times I was aware of prolonged heat & dry weather killing grass was my wife's uncle that lived in Dallas back in the early 70's. I recall him speaking of the extremely dry summer causing many lawns thought that area to completely die out if they were not watered.

Dry, burn bans, bans on fireworks the cops are supposed to be "strictly enforcing" this year, yet I've been hearing fireworks being set off about a half mile or so from here for over two hours.

Laws mean nothing to some people, they do as they please.

Fireworks ban is in effect around here. But at the shindig at the city park they will shoot off fireworks as usual. Having a couple of fire trucks standing by. Yet, as dry as it is, if a fire breaks out from the fire works, it might quickly get away from them.
