Great service today! Also had a powerful Lord's Supper. Our adult Sunday school was filled and greatly blessed today as well.

Very hot and dry today and I had to mow. I had hoped to mow early but we had a very heavy due so I ended up mowing during the heat of the afternoon. Thankfully that is done now, for a few days at least.

Our VBS is this week and it's been GREAT! We have about 100 children attending this year. I was very pleased when my son sat down with me and was so excited about Psalm 27 and what they were doing with that at VBS. We discussed that for a long while. I read the Psalm several times and even called my wife into the conversation. This blessed moment, this blessed time together as father and son and then as family, begun at VBS!

Praise God for every good VBS!!!

We're going to be reaching 102 today. I'm thankful I don't reside in Death Valley, where the high today is supposed to be 107 (and next week they say the high there will be up to 117!!!!) :bigshock:

I'm also very thankful for air conditioning.

But most thankful of all for amazing grace!

The official count came out to 115 children for VBS! A blessed time, but also a lot of work.

It's very humid and muggy here today. Praise God Sunday is almost here and our church has air conditioning and a born again Bible preachin' pastor!

That is good news, John. VBS is a wonderful tool. We don't have that here, because we have a weekly camp that runs for 10 weeks in the summer. But I always loved working with the kids in VBS in previous churches. And for it to be the catalyst for a family Bible talk...neat! :clapping:

It's been a pleasant week here, even with the storms (I like rain!!). But the humidity is back. It's not terrible right now, but by Sunday and into next week it's supposed to be HOOOOT and humid. Ugh. I, too, am so thankful for air conditioning, MissLinda!

We have several from our church going to church camp next week. The turnout was so good this year we have actually had to scramble and work hard to come up with transportation for all of them!

I slept soundly from 4:01 a.m. to 5:15 a.m. :icon_mrgreen: Not much before that though. I'll catch up on enough sleep so I'll be awake and alert for chuch Sunday!
