It's like Crush pointed out, there has been a high number of new members lately. These are not bots, but actual new member accounts. It just seems rather odd. I suppose some might be curious, some might be setting up bogus accounts to use later, some might be lurkers, etc. It just caught my attention that the number of new members each week seems to be a lot of late.

BTW phil 4.8, it is good to see someone from germany here, I have heard bad things about the state of Christianity there. I clicked on the link in your profile and while I can't read german I can tell from you choosing phil 4.8 as your screen name and John 17:17 being in the top left corner of the linked web site and from the music playing on that site that doctrinally we are likely pretty close. Isn't it nice how much the bible verses we cherish and music we listen to says about our doctrine even to those who don't speak the same language. :Green

What ever happened to 'edyoukayshun?'

I was looking forward to a public education expert's point of view...instead of those career politician education appointees from Washington DC.

Thanks you all for the nice encouraging words.
In Germany are a lot catholic people and the most people here think baptist are a sect. So it is not that easy to witness them. But the church is growing, so it is works.
I added to my profile the home church of my pastor, it is in English, so you'll understand more. But it is true Christians all over the world understand each other through the word of God!

My Aunt Monica by marriage is originally from Germany. She is a WWII war bride. Came to work in the states toward the end of WWII and she and my Uncle married. She is also, Roman Church, she will not listen to anything outside what the her church teaches. She is a precious soul but it is hard to witness to her.

When I first joined I was "testing the waters," per se. I do appreciate the wisdom that I find here. I can't be here as much as I thought intially (intended). Since joining I've taken on a part-time job (so now I work a 50-hour week) and am trying to not take away any more time from my wife. My home time other than my weeknight evenings is now down to Saturdays after 12noon and of course Sundays when I'm at my IFB church!

Again, I do appreciate the wisdom I find here.

Hmm...yeah when I joined, I jumped in feet-first. And everyone loved me. Here's looking at you, Seth.

Sometimes, though, I don't post because of redundancy or because someone is saying it better than I. Also, like someone has mentioned earlier, you don't want to look like an idiot - so you try to take your time reading up on the thread, only to become disinterested.
