How do you pronounce the "A" in "Amen"?

I guess it has to do with translation. In the Chinese translation of "Amen", the pronounciation of the letter "A" is "Ah".

An article commented that liturgical and ritualistic churches (e.g. Anglican) tend to use pronounce the first part as "AH", whereas Evangelical churches like to pronounce the first part as "A".

Both ways. I've heard the argument against saying "ah-men" because of the Episcopaleans or whatever but I don't really give a hoot. It sounds better to sing "ah-men" in some songs and if I feel like saying "amen" instead of "ah-men" on a different occasion then I do. :lol How it is pronounced does not make one more spiritual.
