Members kevinmiller
I don't have much time since I'm pretty busy right now, but I have a question. My mom wants a Bible that is a literal translation, word for word. The only thing that I could find was Young's. Does anyone know what source texts he used? Thanks. :smile
Members Kubel
Greek: Translated from Estienne (aka Stephanus) 1550, which I think was based somewhat around Erasmus 1535, which in turn was based on a 6 manuscripts, with the oldest being from the 10th century. Most here on OB would probably consider it acceptable. Literal translations are fun and interesting to read, especially when you stumble upon idioms .
