Things have been real tight financially around here for the past couple of months but we haven't told anybody about that so this blessing is even more of a blessing.

This morning two men stopped by the house while I was away. They gave my wife a ham and an envelope and left. My wife waited until I got home to open the envelope since it was addressed to both of us. Inside the envelope is a FIFTY dollar gift certificate good at our local grocery store! Praise God!!!

A ham and a fifty dollar gift certificate to the grocery store: totally unexpected!

We truly serve a wonderful, loving Father God!

Thank you Heavenly Father! Praise and glory be to You forever and ever! :amen:

Isn't it amazing how God works?!!

My mom and dad recently experienced a similar blessing (it was desperately needed as well) and as I explained to Pop "God blesses obedience".

I really am happy for you and yours John!! :amen:

God knows what we need when we need it.

We have had this sort of thing before, and it can be just the boost that you need to keep going for the Lord.

I think my wife especially needed to see God's hand so obviously at work right now. He certainly got her attention with this! Praise God!!!

Forgive the sacrilege (if you'd be so kind :lol )

But, its like getting hit upside the head with a Holy 2x4. It makes you sit up and say "Hello"!!!

If you had seen my wife's face, her expression and her eyes when I showed her what was in that envelope you would know just how appropriate your description is!

I appreciate your understanding sir!!

As I am sure was my ma and pa's expression as well. My dad by nature isn't a very animated person (imagine that?). But, if you could have heard him, wow.

So I can certainly sympathize with the missus!

I've learned that sometimes God will test us to see how content we are with what we have (clothing, shelter, food, etc...). And when we learn to appreciate the "little" things God provides for us...He pours out His blessings in abundance upon us in due time.

Love,
Madeline
