I ask because for years I took once a day multi-vitamins, on an off, because they never seemed to do anything. I started taking concentrated fish oil with omega 3 about 6 months ago and the changes where amazing. I started taking it for the heart benefits, but just for what it's been doing for my skin is crazy, took years off.

On christmas my family got on the topic of suppliments, and one of my sisters suggested I go to a liquid multi-vitamin, she told me she took pill form for years and some people just don't digest it. The very next DAY after taking a shot of centrum liquid I had so much energy it was scary. I understand placebo effect and I can assure you this wasn't it.

Who here takes suppliments and what kind? Any that you have found to make a large difference in your health?

I try to but I hate pills and usually forget. I do take the generic "airborne" quite a bit when germs are floating around in the winter.

I take them when I'm getting sick or while I'm sick. I do try to take a supplement for my concentration and I have DGL(deglycyrrhizinated licorice) for my stomach. I often forget, though. :ooops

I take a multi vitamin(pill form) and fish oil. I also have tried some herbal supplements but not faithfully. The fish oil has has great benefits for my skin too. I don't always take the multi vitamin every day. I may try a liquid form though to see the benefits. I could definitely use more energy!

I have never took nothing except for meds my doctor prescribed to me.

I've had very little sickness in my life, in the last 5 years I've probably missed preaching on Sunday 3 times because I was sick.

This year, 2007, I missed 2 times, once my wife was sick, the other I took off to attend an Air Force reunion.

If I did not have these birth defects in my head and neck I would enjoy great health.

My favorite food, chocolate pie. Its loaded with vitamins isn't it?

A couple people have brought up sickness keeping them out of church... I had to deal with this for the first year I started going to church. I was never sick, maybe just a couple times, over a decade.. then I was getting hit over and over and over and over.

People brought up spiritual reasons... blah blah blah... I thought about it and realized HAND SHAKING TIME!

I keep it discrete... but I use antiseptic as SOON as hand shaking is done, and haven't been sick sense.

Anyway, back onto topic.

Back in October 2005 when I had pneumonia my doctor suggest to me to always carry a bottle of that antiseptic cleaner and use it very regular for he knew I would probably shake many hands and such.

I didn't take his advise and so far I have not been sick one time since them.

Oh, I might add, we have a lady who very often has that sickness that seems to overcome her Sunday morning, it seems to get much better right after dinner, but them on up in the day it hits her again.

Strange, very strange, It never hits between Monday and Saturday.

Glad for the insulations. Something I've seen so much to me it's a huge tell on a personallity.

You see... the church has people who don't wash after the bathroom. People who wipe their kids noses and don't wash their hands. Only takes one person in a church of 100 to have sick hands, and hand after hand after hand gets shaken, you wipe your eye, and BAM you're sick

I never missed church because of illness. Couple times in the last year, I had to cut out early from the evening service, after staying all day, because of back pain, but that's now fixed by the new bed God provided to me.

Glad you're so "spiritual" that you can go around telling people that they can ignore doctors and basic biological science, and it's a weakness of "will power" if they get sick.

God provides me with antiseptic gel for me to kill bacteria and virus' on my hands after shaking people's hands.

Your quite something, you love to put words into other peoples mouth and speak of others personality, very big of you isn't it?

I will be the 1st to admit I did say this in my previous post, {"I didn't take his advise and so far I have not been sick one time since them."} But, show me where I told people to ignore the advise of their doctor!

As for personality, you could work a bit on yours, the 1st step would be not to put words into my mouth nor anyone else's, it would instantly make your personality much better.

Glad you provided what some people don't do after they go to the bathroom, thats very nice of you. Wow, I can see it now, both morning and evening as people arrive and leave church I ought to clean my hands in between all of the hand shakes to be sure I don't get contaminated nor contaminate someone else. When I get to be that much of a fanatic I'll just stay home to keep from being exposed and or wear surgical gloves.

If I was going to miss church because of pain, I probably would never go to church, but them that is something that I have learned to live with thru the grace of my God. The last several years He has given me the grace to endure much pain and I give Him all the glory each Sunday that I'm able to be at church and stand and deliver another sermon which He has inspired me to deliver to His people.

I will end by saying I hope your just having a bad day and that is the cause for you smarty remarks, be assured my prayer will be said on your behalf.

About 15 to 20 years ago there was a family near here that had several children and just kept having more; about one a year. They were getting government assistance because the mom didn't work (outside the house anyway!) and the dad didn't have a good paying job.

Finally, the government told them they needed to start taking birth control pills and the family agreed. A social worker came by the house one day and gave the pills to the husband and told him how they had to be taken.

A couple months later the wife was pregnant again and the social worker asked why they didn't use the birth control pills. The husband said he took them for a couple of weeks but they made him sick to his stomach so he stopped!

True story!
