Reader,

Some of you teach or want to teach SS.

Some of you preach and are always looking for "Sermon Seeds".

So i'll post this for the Reader and for those who are working on that next "presentation".

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the NT, Paul speaks of being "perfect"... "as many as be PERFECT".

What is that actually?

Its not behavior.
Its not keeping law and commandments.
Its not "trying to be like Christ".
Its not yawning through another Saturday or Sunday morning church service.

A.) Its "God's knowledge" as "the renewed mind" or as Paul teaches.. that all the born again, are to come into the "Same Mind"...
And that is the  "Perfected".

1.) When are you perfected as a Born again Believer?

AA.) Its when you have "Worked out your Salvation", and that does not mean to try to attain it or keep it.

Its to have the right MIND...the right THEOLOGY< the Right FAITH, the right UNDERSTANDING that is the same that God has, regarding what it means to be a "CHRISTian". And, regarding what it means to be "not under the law but Under Grace".. and what it means to understand PERFECTLY = , what has happened when the born again have become " a NEW Creation IN Christ".
Its to understand PERFECTLY what it means to have been "Translated from Darkness.. TO LIGHT">
Its to understand perfectly WHY the born again are "seated in Heavenly places" right now.

2.) Its to understand WHY..

"AS CHRIST IS......so are the born again... in THIS World".

Being "perfected" as a born again believer, is not about your discipleship.

And its not related to "trying to be like Christ" regarding some idealized "Mental Video version" you have of the Lord  Messiah, that you try to act out, or pretend to have become.

Being "Perfected" is to have "worked out your Salvation" and that is to have the revelation, that is God's perspective of what it means to have become "The Righteousness of God in Christ" that IS< the "new Creation in Christ".... Born...again.

Reader, this "perfection" is not something you DO... Its literally REVELATION that you attain and then it becomes your Real Faith and "renewed Mind".

Can you please use Scripture when posting a Biblical lesson? Otherwise it is just your opinion?

I never post opinion.

Also, Are we required to post the Chapter, Verse, and bible version?

So....I did use scripture.  I used at least 4  partial scriptures, but i didn't post the Chapter and verse or Bible version.

If you read carefully, you'll note the verses.

Now if you have a legit question regarding the Thread's topic, or if you have a disagreement with the teaching, then i am happy to discuss it with you.

King James Version is the Bible used here. If I am not mistaken that is in the forum rules.

It is not a requirement, but it most definitely is helpful and Biblically beneficial for anyone reading this thread.

From my above reply, it will show someone where in the Bible how you came to that conclusion. I tell my church all the time to always study the verses in the Bible that I teach and preach from so that they can study it for themselves. It is important that Biblical issues be Biblically studied, and the best way of doing that is by posting the Scripture references.

I did and all I read was opinions of the Bible, not FROM the Bible.

I believe that asking where in the Bible you are speaking from IS a legit question. It makes me wonder if you want us to go to the Bible or just listen to you.

I dont post opinion, i only used the KJV, and i dont normally post chapter and verse, as what i find on forums is that everyone posts verses, they can't teach.

What i do is teach the verses, and if a person is really familiar with the KVJ, then when they read what im teaching, they will recognize the verses in my sentences, and they know that its all related to Paul's Theology.

So, when i post.."as many as be perfect", as i did in the Thread we are discussing, then someone who is very familiar with the KJV, will recognize that this is Paul, from Philippians 3:15

Or when they read, "work our your salvation"... then anyone who knows some bible, and studies the KJV< knows that "work out your salvation" is a partial verse that comes from Paul. Philippians 2.

And when  i wrote "The righteousness of God in Christ" then anyone who is familar with the KJV, will know that this is Paul's verse....

2 Corinthians 5:21..

So, i can write the Chapter and verse, but, as this isn;'t a Forum for 12 yr old Sunday School students....and i think is a forum full of  ADULT Baptist's who all use the KVJ, then i would HOPE that recognizing Paul's verses, should be very simple to do, and having to post the Chapter and verse.....would not be necessary.

SO, anyone who is reading my Thread, it would be great if someone could actually respond to the Topic, itself.

Looking forward to that one.

You are making a big assumption who the readers here are. This is a public (open) forum that has readers of all levels of spiritual maturity. I've never in my life have I had a Christian give me a hard time about posting Scripture. You are missing the point. I'm actually trying to help you.

You are trying to help me by not recognizing that its not "refusing to post the KJV" or "refusing to post scripture", if i dont post the Chapter and verse, and sometimes i only use the core of the KJV verse.

So, its not helpful that you are not realizing this..

Ive posted VERSES, from the KJV< in every Thread ive ever written, on this Forum, and will continue, if i continue here.

But i dont alway post the Chapter and complete verse, but what i always do, is teach Paul's doctrine.

This is a Baptist forum, and Baptist's i know, including Baptist Pastors, know some bible, and they can recognize KJV bible verses... or even partial KJV verses, if they use a KJV.

So,  thank you.

So, when we (the born again).... think of "being perfected... ""

Well, reader......every born again believer "starts perfect"... We begin, as "made righteous", literally seconds after we give God our Faith in Christ., and our faith is "counted"....by God , and you know how according to the KJV.

It is amazing to know that each of us, came to The Cross with a lifetime of sin, and God accepted our Faith and before we can blink 3 more times, our sin is gone, as "God hath made Jesus to be sin for us", and we are eternally established as  regenerated spiritually = as a "new Creation in Christ".

Now....This is a Baptist Forum, and im assuming this is not "hard shell", as i think its obvious to a new member like me that this is not a site full of Baptist's who are TULIP Hyper Calvinists.

So, more than likely, im not dealing with people who want to fight against "Eternal Security" or Free will" or John 3:16 that John Calvin denied.

And......That's a relief actually, as im on many forums, and all of them are full of religious people, Mod's included, who are very legalistic and basically throw a tantrum if you explain eternal security as this KJV Verse.

Philippians 1:6

Now, im going to paraphrase this verse for you.., just in case you've not been taught this verse as our Eternal Security.

Its a GREAT verse... and here is the paraphrase...

"God, who began His Salvation in all the born again, will HIMSELF be faithful to complete it".

Now reader.. see the "Faithful to complete it " Part?   That is Eternal Security.

So, we see that Jesus is the Author and Finisher of our Faith (KJV) Hebrews 12:2..... and we see that God is faithful to complete our Salvation.

Therefore, what is our part?

Our part is : Discipleship, and to perfect this, is to become "as many as be perfect" as Paul Teaches... And that is not "trying to be like Jesus" or striving against sin, or any type of self effort.

The KJV states that we are to attain "the fullness of the Stature of Christ", and that is DOWN HERE, not UP THERE< as up there we are "conformed into the IMAGE of Christ".  KJV.

But down here, we are to become perfected as the Stature of Christ in FULLNESS< and what is that?

That is how you "work out your salvation", and how do you do that?

You do it by gaining revelation knowledge that is co-equal to God's perspective of you, regarding what it means for you to have become "a new creation in Christ".

This is the "renewed mind". and when you gain that, then you have become "as many as be perfected" as Paul teaches.

Behold, the rules on these forums are to quote only from the King James Bible - not a hodgepodge of different Bible versions. Please do so. If possible, please also edit your posts to reflect that or at least add posts in the future with the KJB. Thank you.

Also, we are not perfected yet - ie. the moment we come to Christ. The word is used mainly in two senses - maturity in Christ**, and that happens the more we walk with the Lord and are part of a local NT church. Some also use it in the sense of having our sin nature removed (which use is not in the Bible), but this will not happen until we go to heaven or are changed from mortal to immortal at the rapture, when we receive our new bodies.

**Yes, a believer can be perfect/mature in the sense the word is mostly used in the NT, but again that comes with time and walking with the Lord.
