Yes some shows sneak in the bad words. Just last Weds I was watching the Baby Borrowers. One of the couples I thought said the F word and they didn't really filtered it to much . There is no reason to debate about filters. If you have self control for internet and TV then that's you but it don't mean that no one else can't get a filter to protect themselves.

I do not watch professional sports watch, I just can see why a Christian would. The commercials they have, the sponsors they have, plus professional football competes with Jesus' Churches on Sunday. And look at the extermly poor example most players of professional sports sets for our children.

A few years ago on a Sunday night after church service i visited a family who had lost a loved one, it was on Super Bowl night, young children and many of the adults were gathered around the TV watching the intermission show.

That is one reason many children have took the wrong path.

I hear ya Jerry! Professional sports are all about materialism and the promotion of various sins.

One of the quickest ways for a pastor to upset his congregation, especially the men, is to point out these facts in a sermon and to challenge the congregation to put Christ first and to separate themselves from being entertained by this promotor of sin.

:amen::goodpost: The commercials on TV during a professional sporting event are too much, IMO. Then, we have companies like Nike advertising shoes with LeBron James name on them for $100.00 minimum. :loco Jersey's, video games, sporting equipment, hats, t-shirts...etc. The list goes on. Oh, and don't forget the marketing at the fast food places. They are making a bundle. Goodness. :puzzled:

You know, the biggest enemy of Christians is, "Cared of This Life," the coke out the word of God, and keep them from serving and being a good witness.

It amazes me at the number of Christians who lives, eats, and breaths football, high school, college, and professional. The only thing they dislike about it is off season.
