UPDATE: A new version has been released. It is designed to provide a better user experience on devices with higher screen resolutions.

I have developed a free, open source Offline King James Bible Search application.

No charge. No ads. Just KJV.

Once downloaded, it provides full functionality, even when no internet connection is available.

By selecting 'Add to home screen' on your Android or iOS device, the application mimics a native application.

There are two versions:

* Any Android, Windows, or Linux platform with the latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox web browser.

* Any iOS platform with iOS 10 or above.

I welcome your comments and suggestions...

God Bless,

Clayton,

This new version is absolutely fabulous! The layout on my computer is so helpful! Well done, my friend!

Bookmarked and in use! :)

By the way, I'm using this on Firefox ESR 52.2.0, and it's working flawlessly.

Thank you!

Edited to add: WOW...just discovered this...you included the ability to have 2 or 3 columns of biblical text! Amazing job Clayton! Thank you so much!

Edited to add again: Also just bookmarked it on another computer using Firefox 54.0.1

Clayton, I'm serious. You've outdone yourself...the search feature, the clickable menu, the ability to have 1, 2, or 3 columns of text...WOW! Absolutely amazing. I would send you a donation if you had a way to accept it (and I'm serious about that). :)

No Nicolaitans,

Glad to hear the new version is working well for you.

I just released another update today which adds features for bookmarks management.

Not interested in donations. Just want to help others discover the wonders of His Word. Let others know the app is available; that's payment enough.

And it's really not me that achieved this. I agree with the author of the King James Pure Bible Search software: "He wrote it -- I just typed it...".

Indeed I will spread the word. Also, I've made a short video showing it in action (I hope that's okay with you). Hopefully others will find the video and link others to it. :)

No Nicolaitans,

Nice video. Thank you. I had thought to do that, but had not gotten around to it.

A few clarifications on operation:

* You don't have to refresh to change the sidebar. Just tap the Contents (Genesis 1, etc.), Bookmarks, Search, or Help button (tool). That will change the sidebar. Except to download an update, you don't need the internet to use the application.

* You don't have to tap just the verse number to add/remove a bookmark. You can tap anywhere in the verse text as well.

Not sure how I missed that! I'm trying to delete that video in order to make another one with the correct way to return. Not sure if the deletion is working though...

Edited to add: By the way, I'm not doing this video to try and make it some type of official video for your work...I'm just doing it to help get the word out. :)

How about being able to change fonts?  Can the verses be centered on screen instead of the top?
