Digital Voice Recorder

I need (actually, I don't need it, but it would help a lot) a recorder for my job at the newspaper. I was wondering how to buy one. I'll use it to take interviews with people since I'll be covering my old high school's sports. I might also use it in school since I'll have it. I don't know anything about them, so if you have any advice, help me out.

I use one to record my sermons, and I would look for one that has the ability to plug in an external mic. and has removable memory cards. Mine will record about 3 hours on a 512mb card, and having the external mic. cuts down on a lot of the background noise, it's more directional.

Yep, I agree. We switched to digital recorders at the Sheriff's Office about 4 years ago. Best thing we ever did. Easy to copy to disk or hard drive and store.
