Administrators Jim_Alaska Posted December 16, 2016 Administrators Posted December 16, 2016 I'm glad you are getting your much needed rain NN. Isn't it a blessing when we can see God providing just when we need it the most? Here in Northern California and all of California we have been in the midst of a serious five yer drought. Winter is our traditional rainy season and although it has rained the past five seasons, it has not produced enough snow pack to sustain us through the long hot summer months. It may have let up a bit this year, we have been having non-stop rain since the end of October. I for one am ready for some sunshine. We have had so much rain that there are creeks raging where there are no creeks. Every little dry wash in mountainous country becomes a flowing creek in rainy conditions. Depending on location it can also be dangerous because of flash floods and normally dry washes running over the road. No Nicolaitans 1 Quote

No snow in my immediate area...though that would be a wonderful blessing! I'm 50 years old, and from what I recall, we've had one white Christmas in my entire life...though I did experience several white Christmases during my Coast Guard years up North. That one time...it was a wonderful surprise to wake up to a beautiful and full blanket of snow that Christmas morning here in Georgia. It had all melted by the next day, but what a wonderful thing it was. : ) 32 minutes ago, Jim_Alaska said: I'm glad you are getting your much needed rain NN. Up until the last couple of days, we continued receiving light rain...which had lasted on and off for about a week? The Lord is good, and he provides. I will continue praying for rain in our area, and for less rain in yours! Rosie and Jim_Alaska 2 Quote

Members No Nicolaitans Posted January 3, 2017 Author Members Posted January 3, 2017 The Lord has been gracious and continued blessing us with rain since my last post on December 16th! I've added up our rainfall totals at work since Dec. 16th, and since then, we've received 5.7" as of today (January 2, 2017)... with over 3" in the last two days alone...and it's still raining!
