I noticed you only chose to deal with this part of my post, now I've answered you how about you answer me?

My point is I'm sick of hearing Christians say I won't support this or that because that supports sin but those same Christians will do nothing about it when it comes to supporting the largest organization that funds sin, the Federal Gov't. At best it's being hypocritical and at worst it's just plain cowardess.

I've been totally boycotting for months now. It's rather simple to do as I really don't like there food anyway. This issue just made it all the more easy.

This is a quote of you from the McDonalds thread, so which is it are you being hypocritical by supporting sin in one instance but not in another or are you just afraid of the consequences of standing on God's word, and dealing with the consequences when them come.
I know it's easy to boycott a corporation they aren't going to do anything to you, but to stand against the Gov't that comes with possible consequences.
It's not just about not paying your taxes it has to do with how you vote, who you support in gov't, what are you doing to stand up for the cause of Christ.

I would like to make it clear, that I do pay certain kinds of taxes. I should also say that some of you are talking about several different things, you can't lump all tax into the same category, for instance Fed Income Tax, is not the same as Sales Tax or Gas tax or even SS tax.
I don't have a Social Security number either, and don't pay in to SS, because it's not the gov'ts job to help those less fortunate(welfare) it is the Individual Christian's and the Churches responsibility.

I do pay Gas tax because that is the same tax Christ paid (Road tax) it's the state's road and I use it so it is both responsible and biblical for me to help maintain it. I need to point out that Interstates are not Federal roadways they are state maintained. Most states unconstitutionally take money from the Fed to maintain them.

I do pay County taxes to help maintain our county services, I don't live in the city or I would pay those taxes also, but I do not pay mill levies too support our local school district, for one thing the Public School System teaches and advocates sin. And we don't use it we homeschool, so I see no reason to pay for it.

I have lived in states with sales tax and income tax, and at different times I have paid both, State Income tax is legal and constitutional, and state sales tax is legal and constitutional. But I am also very active politically at a state and local level, and do everything in my power to keep my elected officials doing their Job. One of my local state reps lives 3 miles from my house, so I call her up and go have coffee with her as often as I can, and we discuss every issue I can think of that needs to be dealt with from a christian perspective. Does that mean she does what I ask, NO, but it means I'm not just letting the Gov't run my life either. It means I'm willing to do what ever is possible and necessary to effect and influence my Gov't, and to be a witness for Christ.

When our candidates have made their stops around here, I have attended everyone of them this year and done and said what I thought was necessary to influence people. I have also made it a point to put a tract in every politicians hand I shook this year.

The last sentence is to well written to have been mine. IF you do not pay federal income taxes then put on a uniform go to Iraq and send my cousin home. Just come out and say you are a liberal because a conservative would pay his own way. Liberals want the government to take care of them just like those who do not pay federal income taxes. Tank

As to those of you who use Kent Hovind as your reference, I would suggest you read the pre-trial motions and the pre-trial and trial transcipts before you pass judgement on him, He wasn't allowed to present his defence, the judge refused to allow him to present the defense he wanted to present. And many of the SCOTUS precedents that would have been used, were never heards due to the Judge not allowing them to be presented.

Lol tank...people volunteer to join the military, so my guess is that your cousin is in the military because he wants to be and he might not want to be sent home.

The quoted sentence was 282Mikado's from another thread if that is what you are referring to. The rest is my comments.
Now as to your cousin being in Iraq, he's there because your Gov't sent a volunteer where they didn't have the authority to send him. Show me were in the constitution the Gov't has the authority to send a standing army half way around the world, they have been over stepping their authority for years in these types of actions, the constitution gives the authority to defend this nations borders not liberate other nations. How bout you get a hold of your politicians and get them to do the constitutional thing and bring your cousin home. As to putting on a uniform, I've been there and done that, so don't presume to tell me about doing my duty and serving my country.
The whole point of not paying my taxes and not having an SSN is because I'm bent on paying my own way, I'm not eligible for any federal or state benefit of any kind, no welfare, no medicaid, no SSI, no unemployment, or workmans comp, none of the things that are provided by the Gov't. I support my familly through hard work, and skill with my hands, I pay for my own insurance, I don't rely on the state to pay for my families medical care. I pay for my families food I don't rely on the state to feed me. I carry disability insurance, so if something happens I don't need the state to provide me with unemployment and workmans comp. I take care of my family without needing the state. I don't pay those taxes because it is not my responsibility to provide for everyone else, and the gov't doesn't have the authority to take my money to provide for someone else. And the most important reason is they not only provide for others with tax dollars but they spend those taxes on things that are clearly against God's word, and God made it my responsibility to handle what he gives me with good stewardship. I cannot and will not knowingly support those sins, and I will continue to take the consequences of my choice when they come.

Then I highly recommend you stop buying any thing or paying for any service from a company that pays Federal Income Tax, because a part of every dollar you spend goes to pay the fed.

Can we please limit our threads on politics to a minimum? I only speak for myself, but I am really tired of Obama and McCain talk. They are everywhere...and OLB is my "safe haven." Politics get under my skin. LOL. Can we get back to talking about scriptures for a change. A political thread (every now and then is fine) but, it seems more now than then, IMO.

I love the Bible...as do other members. Let's talk Bible w/o politics attached to it. Okay? This is just a suggestion. I am in no way "trying" to act as a moderator...I am just very frustrated in general since this political mess started. :smile Peace and hope. :pray

You might be amazed to find out how little we buy from corporate america these days.
Now are you going to answer me or are you just going to keep avoiding the questions I have posted to you twice now?

you live on this land. You vote. When you are living on this land and voting, you are agreeing to whoever win the election can pass laws to solve problems and set thing straight. That mean you have to pay taxes if the person that won the election want more taxes. you can't just live here and do whatever you want and rebel. You shouldn't be voting for anyone. You listen to them when they set up a system that ask you not to murder. but won't pay taxes when they ask you pay it. You want them to set up a system for one thing (or even set up a Constitution), but when it comes to your money, you do not want them touching it.
