Now, there is nothing wrong with secular institutions that welcome everyone and practice religious and ideological ecumenicism. There is no place for inclusive Christian institutions, such institutions have no rational reason to exist in the first place. To those who will say "well, what is wrong with permitting atheists attend/teach/work at religious institutions" the answer is quite simple: look at what has happened to the Ivy League universities.  For instance Harvard and Yale began as Christian colleges.

This is one of the reasons I have trouble accepting the worth of Christian colleges and seminaries.  Too little teaching on the truths of the bible and Christ and too much teaching on other subjects, such as psychology, counselling and church growth.  Unfortunately when I have been in other preachers offices, what I see on their book shelves is not Christ but everything else the "christian" publishing industry has to offer.

Larry, In today's world it nearly seems the way the only way we can have to have moral citizens is to educate them, & that will cure the immoral problems in this country. And it seems many Christians thinks along that line too.

To me the only way to get rid of the bad morals is not by education, but to win them to Christ.

That's right. Education isn't the answer, especially what they call education today!

Christ is the answer, for only in being born again will our hearts be changed and that's something that not only benefits this life, but lasts all of eternity.

In America's earliest days, the Bible was taught and practiced by the population as a whole whether or not they were professing Christians.  Thomas Paine's values came from the Godly education he received but needed a friend to point that out to him.  So even the heathen lived a more moral life compared with those of today.  That being said, sound biblical institutions are mere specs of dirt spread out across the nation, not enough to make much of a difference in these last days.  We cannot turn a country back to God when it's under judgement and will be destroyed but we can help win lost souls for Christ.
