House Stenographer Says Holy Spirit Moved Her to Shout, 'God Will Not Be Mocked'

A stenographer from the House of Representatives was forcibly removed from the floor Wednesday evening during the vote to end the partial government shutdown and raise the debt ceiling after an odd outburst.

Dianne Reidy, 48, made her way to the Speaker’s Chair while the vote was taking place, “ranting about God, Free Masons and the inability of the nation to serve two members,” The Washington Times reports.

“Praise be to God,” she said. “He will not be mocked, He will not be mocked. Don’t touch me. He will not be mocked.”

She was also heard saying in an audio recording: “The greatest deception here is this is not one nation under God. It never was. Had it been, it would not have been. No. It would not have been. The Constitution would not have been written by Free Masons. They go against God. You cannot serve two masters. You cannot serve two masters. Praise be to God, the Lord Jesus Christ. Praise forever.”

Reidy says the Holy Spirit made her to do it.

“For the past 2 1/2 weeks the Holy Spirit has been waking me up in the middle of the night and preparing me (through my reluctance and doubt) to deliver a message in the House Chamber,” she told Fox News’ Chad Pergram in a statement. “That is what I did last night.”

A woman tried calming Reidy as others alerted police. The presiding officer, Florida Rep. Illeana Ros-Lethinen, banged the gavel several times to restore order, but Reidy persisted. “You cannot serve two masters,” she shouted as she was removed from the floor.

Ros-Lethinen says Reidy “came up to the podium area beneath where I was standing and asked me if the microphones were on. I said that I didn't know. I assumed that perhaps I was chatting too much to the helpful parliamentarians around me. Then she suddenly faced the front and said words like, ‘Thus spoke the Lord,’ and, ‘This is not the Lord's work,’ ” according to Fox News.

“I hammered to get control and hush her up. She said something about the devil. It was sudden, confusing and heartbreaking. She is normally a gentle soul.”

Fox News says Reidy is well-liked and not the radical partisan type. The network reported the incident caused several members to express concern for her mental health.

“I think there’s a lot of sympathy, because something clearly happened there,” the Times reported Rep. Gerry Connolly saying.

Rep. Joaquin Castro added: “I’ve seen her around when I’ve been on the floor. Other members who have been here longer said she always seemed nice.”

Reidy was sent for a mental evaluation after being questioned by U.S. Capitol Police. It was not immediately clear if criminal charges would be filed.

For starters, she has no conception of the truth of our history. The Constitution wasn't written by Freemasons. It was written by men who were designing the unarguably best governing document of all time.  Biblical principles abound in the document, even though the Bible is not quoted.  Besides which, even if they were masons, it is not the Freemasonry of today, with all the satanic overtones.

Supposedly there is some evidence that this one or that was a mason, while others supposedly definitely were - some might have been a member but never attended, some might have once looked into it.  But to try and negate the Constitution while she's trying to shout about two masters is silliness.

I personally don't believe the Holy Spirit is the One who spoke to her.  I think she was used as a tool to add yet another log of derision to the fire against Christianity.  Whether she was a tool of the devil or politicians (same thing?  :hide: ) is anyone's guess.  I most certainly do not believe God would have led her to do this which would have no positive impact for Christ.

This nation was brought about by fighting, war, killing, seems to conflict with what Jesus had to say, yet most ignore this.

Joh 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

Our sword is to the the Word, our armor is to be God. Jesus never taught His apostle to over throw their government, & the apostles never taught us to over throw the government, but never render evil for evil. Yet in this United States we have nt been taught God's, & Jesus' way, we have the worldly way pounded into our heads, & want let go.

And of course if someone points this out, well, they are not treated very well, & probably many will talk about them behind their backs. Wonder, just how they would have faired with Jesus.

What I found most telling was the instant, absolutely INSTANT, attempts to claim this woman must have a mental problem.

Speaking out in the name of Jesus anyone other than in a church is considered to be something wrong.

There are actually attempts within some parts of the psychiatric community to have certain religious beliefs labeled as a mental disorder.

Liberals/Democrats/Socialists/Communists/Statists always label those they oppose as crazy so the world will disregard them, discredit them.  Even Drudge did so in his headline on this one.

The woman spoke the truth in a place where the truth is seldom heard.

The telling reactions of the politicians and media makes her stand worthwhile. Now if only folks would learn from that!

Sometimes, to some people, one who is full of the Holy Spirit, they just might think they drunk.

Eph 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

Many today believe it's a mental problem to speak forth what Scripture says regarding homosexuality, adultery, male/female roles, and even prayer. Little wonder then, I suppose, that so many think someone speaking forth praise to God, and especially glorifying the name of Jesus, in the halls of congress, MUST be suffering from mental illness.

The Holy Spirit wouldn't lead someone to utter falsehoods - and she did.  God works decently and in order - and she wasn't.  It is wrong for people to assume that she is mentally unstable, but that is the direction the world is going.

She said the Constitution was written by freemasons and atheists.  That was a lie.

I don't know about the atheist part, but I did hear her mention freemasons, and some did have a hand in the founding.

I do know about the atheist part.  And I never said they didn't have a hand in the founding.  However, it would be good to be fully informed as to exactly WHAT the "masonic" influence was.  This is a short, inexpensive book that is well documented.
