One has to wonder why McCain or some of his supporters aren't hammering at least some of these issues home.

A few short ads with just a portion of this message in each would send a strong statement.

Why is it that candidates like Dole and McCain (for instance) don't really seem to go all out to win?

NOBODY but Obama is going all out to win.

Anyway...the only things that get covered by the media are things Obama does and says. Its very possible other candidates are working even HARDER, yet with no attention.

Obama doesn't even have to work hard on his campaign... he's got all those people worshipping him that'll take care of it for him. :Bleh

McCain has been getting a pretty good amount of coverage, especially on Fox News Channel, and it's clear he's not putting forth a real, solid effort.

This is the first presidential election cycle that I've received and heard nothing from the Republican candidate. I've not received a single mailing from McCain nor a phone call for his campaign (thankful about that part as I hate the phone calls).

When I see clips of McCains speeches, or even whole or very large portions of his speeches live on Fox, he fails to put forth passion and he fails to hit those issues that could drive stakes into Obama.

McCain had three debate opportunities to hammer Obama on live, national TV yet he failed to do so. One could excuse him for how he handled the first debate but there is no excuse for failing to come out swinging in the next two.

Obama is a hollow candidate with a very shady past whose policy positions have flip-flopped all over.

Rather than running an "all out to win" campaign as did Reagan in 1980, McCain is acting more like Bob Dole did in his failed campaign against Clinton.

I think each state's Republican party takes care of the mailings, because we've received 3 brochures about McCain/Palin in the mail already. :Bleh

I have actually received a few phone calls for McCain but hung up. *shrug*

Rush Limbaugh has had some pretty good stuff to say on his website....he does agree McCain is running a losing race...he has tried too hard to play "moderate" thinking it would get him votes and its backfired.

Well maybe he saw how Schwarzenegger played moderate in California and became governor, and thought he could do the same thing. :Bleh The only problem with that is, McCain isn't a movie star like Arnold... so he doesn't have that advantage.

CA and PA are both "important" States with their political machines geared up while the same isn't true in many other states.

In this election McCain has written off many states while Obama has not bothered to spend time in the many states he already knows are his. Fox News reported awhile back that both campaigns were spending 15 million dollars a week for ads that over 60% of the country were not seeing. These ads were targetted in just 10 markets, with (at that time) the bulk of those being in Ohio markets.

McCain isn't playing moderate, he's the type of liberal that passes for moderate in the Republican Party these days.

So is Arnold. He's a "moderate" Republican married to a Democrat. :Bleh

Ya gotta remember - any time objections are raised about Obama, "racism" starts being blamed...I think McCain is leery of being tarred as a racist if he gets too harsh.

And, the MSM is not showing any of this stuff about Obama. It's out there, but there's a blackout in the major media. Obama has tried to get different media to stop playing ads against him - supporters have sabotaged radio shows by glutting the phone lines (in Chicago), they've tried to stop NRA ads from being shown on tv in PA, there's a "truth squad" in MO designed to stop negative stuff about Obama...

If BO is elected, good-bye free speech!

Obama will be elected....unless the polls are lies too....and if the actual people at the voting booths don't sabotage the republican votes.

Hm.

Obama WILL be elected. Now that I think about it.

If BO wins, it will not be by election. It will be a stolen election. There is too much fraud going on...I think BO knows that he won't win honestly, so the push for early voting, etc.
